Sorry to burst your bubble but Iowa hasn't had much success anywhere the last 10 years or so. Iowa's record is worse at Wisconsin, Michigan St, etc.
Hilton is a tough place to play no doubt, but it's not the holiest of all holy like you want to make it out to be. Wisconsin has lost 7 times in Bo Ryan's tenure at Madison. That's 7 times in 13 years I believe. Indiana is one of the great mecca's of college basketball and Assembly Hall is one of the most intimidating places to play in collegiate basketball.
These seniors for Iowa have played in all of them, so I guess they've seen a little of everything at this point in their career.
Iowa State has a very good team this year to go along with the hostile environment so there is no doubt it will be surprising if Iowa wins.
Iowa has won 5 games at Hilton since 1984. Four of the five wins were a 6 point win, a 2 point win, a 1 point win, and a 1 point win. Hell... In the games Iowa has managed to win they were barely able to escape Hilton with a W. I would say Iowa is lucky to have won in Hilton other then the 1 convincing win they had in the past 30 years. Several of those games Iowa clearly had the better team and they still lost or snuck out with a very small margin of victory.
You didn't burst my bubble at all.
