It's too bad Kane was not feeling well during the game. Too bad so many people saw him play that way as he's capable of much more when well. I'm glad Hogue covered some of his minutes.

This game was never really in question, even when tied. This was men vs boys, clones did what they had to on the road and no more against a vastly inferior opponent. And that's fine. Get the w and get on the plane.

Lot of that tech run was some fortunate bounces.

TV announcer made the comment that ISU was trying to play "hero ball" during TT comeback. Thought that myself and I'm less than a basketball pundit.

I thought that was pretty good comment and observation. We go one-on-one with isolations but for a while we were just going one-on-one pickup game style which is not our offense.

That happened right around the same time that Niang missed a couple layups that he usually makes. I just thought they panicked a little bit. Not a huge deal.

I think it is more that we were having trouble scoring so why put in Edozie (who doesn't score) and further handicap us. I understand his defense might have helped but I don't think his defense is good enough to overshadow is lack of offense.
He is 7 for 9 in shooting in 79 minutes of play.

Here nor there
Is anyone else tired of hearing how our lack of size will be a problem for us during conference play? The announcer must of said it 20 times today. It's not like we're any smaller than we were last year.
No, because it is a problem at times. What is annoying is people thinking we win and die by the three.

They were also saying that Hogue should never shoot that three, and that height is what we will struggle against in Big 12 play numerous times. Obviously, they use the same scouting people that Notre Dame uses.

Also the lack of depth this team has.

Even if Hogue is healthier Tues., I'm not looking forward to Austin, Jefferson, and Gathers hitting the boards. I know we've said that before and held our own, but it still has to be a concern.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Hogue pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
SAVE HOGUE!

With Hogue out, I thought we might see a little playing time for Percy. Has anyone heard Fred say what Percy needs to do in order to see some minutes?
I think we'll need him in Big 12 play but it doesn't look like Fred has plans for the big guy in the rotation.

Percy pretty well buried on the depth chart.

I thought for sure, with Hogue out most of the 2nd half sick though, that we'd see Edozie for sure. We needed rebounding help BAD.

But until Percy can figure out his role, I don't know we'll see him much. Might be forced to on Tuesday though to deal with Baylor's size?

It wasn't a problem last year.
