Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

So did we just go from super confident to expecting UNLV? Bummer
Still have no idea why you want to play there. They have great talent and lose to ******* teams while we have the perfect coach for someone like him, a top 25 team and an obvious winnable starting spot at SG. Just don't get it...

Based on our own BS? Yes, I think we did.

If there is one PG in the country I would want to play with next year it would be Monte Morris. He will be looking to pass the ball first, and not in a OMG McDermott is going to pull my scholly if I don't kind of way.

So we're all thinking it's UNLV now? Oh well, no need to wait until Saturday then.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Rivals guy gave a little insight on it

Is this what you mean?

With only a few days left in his recruitment, all signs look to be pointing to either the Running Rebels or the Cyclones. Both Dave Rice and Fred Hoiberg's programs have immediate playing time available on the wing and both are in need of a scorer.

A native of Minneapolis, Vaughn has grown fond of the Las Vegas area and the support of the Rebels program by locals while he's been attending Findlay. Iowa State is close to home, has been recruiting him intensely the longest and features an NBA style offense that appeals to him.

Headed down the stretch Vaughn isn't giving out any hints, but it does look that a choice other than the Rebels or Cyclones would be a surprise.

Sounds like he knows nothing. My guess is Fred already knows.

Get ready. We've got 4 more days of this. I personally expect to change my position at least 4 times per day. Early today, it was Iowa State. Tonight, it is poor Iowa State. We are not going to get him. Fred Hoiberg will leave. Who cares if we won the game last night?

In reality, it just doesn't matter if we get him or not. We'll be fine.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Sorry if already posted, but Eric Bossi from Rivals is saying UNLV

Not saying he isn't predicting that but show me where he said this? Because his front page article stated either UNLV or ISU.

No he isn't. He said the following:

Eric Bossi literally said he thinks either the Rebels or the Cyclones are the favorite.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Whoever is reading Bossis article and thinking it's UNLV because of it is nuts. It says absolutely nothing about him going to UNLV. It just says it's likely down to us and UNLV.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I can't understand why any top player would want to play at UNLV with zero exposure in a bad conference, other than $.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

We're going to feel REALLY stupid if his tweet "Going to announce my decision Saturday" is just letting us know what movie he plans on going to with his friends.

Did you forget the jimlad? I think he should choose us as much as the next guy, but UNLV did produce the #1 overall draft pick last year....so that might be one reason.
