Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

This thread has become a parody of itself.

now speculating off of a speculation from someone guessing.

Can we just get past the number one draft pick thing. If Nerlens Noel doesn't tear his acl we wouldn't be talking about it. It was an awful draft with a few guys deciding to return to school and the guy who would have been number one getting hurt.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Because UNLV has bee irrelevant in basketball for 20 years. Northern Iowa has had a better program. That's why. No it isn't NIACC but we aren't talking about a 2 star recruit either. It's like Scott Drew at Baylor but 10x worse. Drew gets top talent and ruins them. Obviously RV likes Vegas or he wouldn't have gone to Findlay but I have to think that going to UNLV, if he does, has more to do with things we cannot offer. Sorry but you won't convince me of anything else. Let's be clear..the NBA doesn't draft based on where you went to college. two lottery picks from last year played at Weber State and Univ of Washington. UNLV isn't some Lottery mecca.

Who was the last #1 pick from Baylor? Not even RGIII got drafted #1 overall...

Again, I don't understand how he could pick UNLV over us, but let's not act like he's choosing some no-name school with absolutely nothing to offer.

They were in a sweet 16 not to long ago, we haven't been to one in 14 years...

So? Fizer was Top 10 and RW was top 15. What's your point? Did you think that Jimlad maybe got some very nice extras...wink wink... to go there. Don't for a second think that UNLV is squeaky clean cause they aint. Eyebrows should raise when elite players(they already have two committed thus far) start going to a program that has been awful for over a decade and is in a conf that is not respected and they get no TV coverage.

Why would you go there if you are an elite? I'll stop there.

Fizer was Pick #4 in the NBA Draft. Much better than Top 10.

Ignore the downers. Everything is great from what I can tell. Today effectively lowered it from top 5, down to top 2 with ISU and UNLV. (At least that is the consensus because he put an end to future official visits) Pure math, tells us that is 50%. And most importantly this will all be over by the end of this weekend. All good news from what I can tell.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I can't imagine the gut wrenching feeling that coaches go thru having recruited a kid like RV for 4 years only to come up short. I"m sick just thinking about it, can't imagine how they feel.

And enough with UNLV being this relevant program, they aren't.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I haven't been following since he visited us because there was nothing more we could do to sway him.

Why is he announcing now vs April? Has he only visited us and UNLV?
