I hope you don't tweet Rashad something stupid if he commits to UNLV. I'll be disappointed, but whatever happens, happens. If he doesn't come here, he was never planning on coming here, and I'm ok with that because Fred will go find the next great transfer.

Exactly. If he doesn't pick us then he was never all that interested to begin with, and we have enough time to rebound with a top transfer or Juco or take his place. It'll suck not to get him, but there could also be the next Kane or Royce in the transfer market as well.

I agree with all you're saying. That's why I think that 'if' he does chose UNLV it would be due to something he's really putting alot of value on...such as playing with those AAU friends, and other McD AA's. Meaning, if he wanted the national tv stage he could chose teams like UK or NCar or us, for that matter. If he wanted a program doing very well at the present and with an NBA type coach, then that would lean more toward us and the others as well. Closer to family so they could see him play, also doesn't point toward UNLV. As many hours as a student athlete spends in competition, practice, workouts, events, classes, etc., etc. , not sure liking a happening city of Vegas over a smaller city of Ames would be that big of a priority for him, but then what do I know. But...just because some of these reasons make sense to us, doesn't mean he even looks at them in the same way.

Huh? What do you mean, if he doesn't pick us, he was 'never' all that interested to begin with? So, he kept us on his top 5 list until the bitter end, allowed multiple visits by our coaches throughout 4 years, took an official here, and god knows what else, just to have us as some school to put on his list? Guess I'm not following.

Agreed. Saturday is going to be brutal either way. He either goes somewhere else and people bash him, claim conspiracy, etc or we get him and people will of course beat possible starting rosters to death (again), speculate on him being one and done, and predicting national titles.

Megathread RV has finally returned to non-informational banter. I'm feeling much better now. After all of these months I wasn't sure how to react when there was a brief moment of real information. I feel much more comfortable with movie quotes than the same old debates being rehashed. I'm taking that as a positive sign.

We've done all we can do for him to come. We've beaten top 25 teams in both his official visits with one being ranked in the top 10, we have been recruiting him since 9th grade, we have had our fan base at the best it possibly could be when he was there. IDK what else we could do.

Are you trying to say there is nothing else we could have done? That is true, and it's a very different statement than "If he doesn't pick us then he was never all that interested to begin with."

No, that is not just semantics.
