My one wish, besides of course him picking ISU, is that if he doesn't pick ISU, the unintelligent vocal minority of our fan base doesn't start attacking him on twitter. That could get ugly real, real fast.


Please... for the love of god, nobody do this. Unless you never want us to be in on another recruit like this again.

I won't lose faith that ISU has a great chance in landing him. Remember in Rashad's case, he is making his decision AFTER he consulted with his family. Talking to a player about playing at the same school won't have much affect if the family was not already thinking that UNLV was the leader.

I think something happened that sealed the deal for him since he wasn't thinking about committing until the end of February or early March. I would like to think it was how the Oklahoma State game was handled and won, but I have no clue.

When Vaughn first announced that he would be making his decision this weekend I was beyond excited and optimistic that we got him. We were coming off a triple over time thriller over Okie State and I felt like he finally decided that ISU was the place for him. I just could not come up with any reasons why he would go to a place like UNLV. As time has gone on, and as I have been thinking more, one thing came to my mind. I just feel that if Vaughn was indeed going to be a Cyclone he wouldn't announce this early. He still has several months in Las Vegas and if he is going to chose any school besides UNLV I feel like he would be harassed by UNLV fans for the next several months. Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

This timing is the main thing that sticks out to me. Though, there are plenty of dark horses, and surprises. I know for one, UNC, sends Jordan around, and Kansas, well, has alumni with deep pockets of cash to say the least.

Keep in mind he has a busy life, and he's saving a lot of time by cancelling other official visits to announce now and focus on the rest of his season.

Why would any player announce that he was going to play at a school other than the hometown school ever before signing day then? Many, many, many more do than don't.
