Ugly game, couldn't score (again) and not having Clark really hurt out rebounding and defense. Hope we can fair better at Mizzu...

Any other ISU-CU postgame threads will be merged here as usual.

Great effort out of Brackins today! Love Sean stepping up (again), too! It was rough not having Rahshon's defense out there.

Poor start to the second half, then some signs of life, but finally fold like a cheap suit in crunch time.

I thought we got some good minutes out of Boozer and CJohnson in the first half.

We need more shooters. 55 pts wont get it done. Colo Sr guards played well against guards that cannot make their own shot.

Once again there were bright points and low points. Clark being out really affectd the play on D.

These are bumps we take this year. This is the littany of errors and injuries we've had to deal with throughout. It hurts but I feel we'll be that much better for it next year. I hate saying it, but it builds character.:daydreaming:

I guess I'll just reiterate what's been said all year. We have to be patient. It's probably going to be two more years of patience before we see any kind of post-season play.

Luckily we have some experienced guards coming back, but we lose our inside presence and to win the Big XII, you need an inside presence.

Today was frustrating, more frustrating than I could've imagined.

We really need a true go-to guy for scoring. Maybe Wes can be that guy when he is totally healthy, but even then last year that guy was Taylor.

Great to see Brackins have a pulse again today. That's HUGE for us going into next year. If we can get him on track for the last week of the regular season and the tournament, that bodes well for next year.

With our team offensively challenged, we really need to get it done on the defensive end to win games. Something we haven't done the last couple games.

I sure hope that Rahshon is feeling better for next Saturday - it would be awful to miss Senior Night.

We've had better ISU teams go to sCUm and lose to worse sCUm teams. This is no surprise. Just hope that someday we can get some physical players for the post and some sharpshooters that can keep defenses from sagging in on our post players.

Marcus Hall was just unbelievable in this game for Colorado. He made shot after shot even though alot of those were layup drives to the basket but he also hit about 3 trey's that hit noting but net.

Is it just me or does it seem like every game we get down, fight our way back to an actual game, and use everything we have to get back and have nothing left to get us over the bump?

Haluska has been playing very good defense all year. He was the only one who could come close to taking Rahshon's place out there today.

We just didn't have enough juice, again. Jiri had a bad game, and that really doomed us.

Disappointing game, but not shocking. I keep thinking that we will have a team leader emerge, but it appears that it's not going to happen this year.

Our best defender was out, but I thought our defense was pretty poor. Marcus Hall was too quick off the dribble for our PGs, and there's not much you can do about that, but I think it's fair to be disappointed in our complete lack of help defense.

We need to find ways to scratch our way back into a game without launching so many threes. Wesley's threes obviously helped us get back into the game, but once that stopped, Colorado blew it right open again.

And maybe my glasses are rosy, but I still think we've got a shot at Missouri.

Re: ISU @ Colorado - Post-Game Thread

Ummm...I hope you aren't talking about CB's defense.

No, I was talking about his two dunks, the multiple times he took it strong to the hoop, and just general effort out of him.

It's not just you - Greg said almost the very same thing following the Kansas game. We can't continue do dig ourselves holes early in games and be in a position we have to dig ourselves out of it. We just don't have the personnel to do so.

I'll go out on a limb and predict that barring a disaster, Rahshon will play in that game.
