I'm wondering this as well. I'm seeing unconfirmed tweets saying the complete opposite.
They cancelled veishea in 2005 after the 04 riot. The pictures and video here seem every bit as destructive.
The fact its on a tuesday really confuses me. I mean seriously.
I thought Thursday would be the soonest a riot could break out due to mug night but not likely because all the out of towners aren't there yet. The fact it happened on a Tuesday is asinine.
Update (sort of): I'm guessing the word going around that he's dead was sparked by this video/the guy in the video. I'm putting my money on that he's just unconscious (sure as hell hope that's the case). Video was posted by the Daily.

Im gonna be pretty unhappy if this does result in a cancellation again though. Just as much for students, veishea is a time of year that a lot of alums have a good chance to set a date to come back and meet up.
At least the spring game\cys house of trivia arent officially connected to veishea so those, though usually falling on veishea, should still continue to happen.

Yeah, veishea 'week' usually doesnt start really rolling until thursday at the earliest, but really friday.
Exactly. I'm only a year out of school but I'm planning on meeting with guys that graduated before me this weekend. I'm going to be ****** if its cancelled for next year because stupid immature current students don't know how to have fun without being idiots.
Any idea what condition Mary Greeley is in right now? Friend of a friend was punched in the head, and was bleeding. Don't know how severe it was. Told him that they should probably get over there and looked at, as head injuries aren't anything to leave alone. Do you think that's necessary?

Where is the word that Hilton is being used as a medical station? And is it just a staging area for the medical staff, or are they allowing people to walk in?

If the police can't ID the people from this video, they can definitely ID the blonde who recorded the faces of 3-4 guys who screamed in her camera when they did it. I hope these a**holes get caught. They are destroying VEISHEA.
That should be ok, the scanner is pretty quiet and has been for a while. Most of the medical alerts were passed out drunk people. Serious injury went to DM.
