what are the actual chances they cancel veishea over this? pretty slim. Couldn't go out til wednesday so I hope theirs no way they can cancel some stuff. didn't think things would escalate this quickly since it's ******* tuesday...
Pretty slim? This is just as bad (if not worse) then the 2004 riots which they did cancel the following year's VEISHEA.

Bro, Leath suspended a basketball player who was never found guilty of raping a woman that he had previously had sexual relations with. Leath also made us take a Title IX test just because he's a *****. I'm sure canceling Veishea is something he's been wanting to do since he came here.

After the events in 2004 and how quickly things have escalated already this year, I wouldn't underestimate the university's hairtrigger on this. If this were the first time something like this had ever happened, it'd probably slide. But it doesn't take much imagination to see the university taking drastic action this time.

No, it was more contained than the 2004 riots. No smashing of storefronts, or burning dumpsters being pushed down the street. It was still bad, but not as bad as '04

If you can't admit that rioting is embarrassing and deserving of punishment you need to evaluate yourself.

Couch/dumpster fire on the scanner. I'd be more excited if it wasn't for everything else that happened tonight.

I do think it's wrong and I think this and next years Veishea should be canceled and the year after for the ****** underclass men. I'm just saying Leath will definitely not let this go.

When the crowd wouldn't move to allow the ambulance to get to the individual injured by the fallen light pole, I would have been in full support of the police using cattle prods and catchers to move the crowd out of the way.

Want to act like animals, then get treated like animals.

It wasn't that people weren't letting it happen, it's that the majority of the people didn't know how serious the situation was. Some guys came running down the street and it cleared, but then more people that didn't hear that or came form somewhere else ran into the street and blocked it again without knowing what was going on.

Not that that makes any of this okay though...

One would think that an ambulance would be a pretty ******* big clue that **** was getting real.

Supposedly the kid who was hit by the lightpole didn't make it and has passed away. Just complete sadness right now over this whole night.

these are all fair points. Yeah that test was pointless for 99.9%. My post was suppose to be pretty slim? i still don't think they'll cancel it but we'll see i guess.
