LOL. Anyone who thinks Percy is transferring for any reason besides playing time is laughable. Fred wouldn't push him out the door when he already had two available scholarships. Percy just didn't develop fast enough to beat out Ejim and Hogue. Enter McKay, just bad luck for him.

I completely agree with this. No team is made up of 15 guys who are all capable of 20 and 10. You need some guys on your team that will practice hard and come in for a minute or two here and there if you need them. Percy seemed very well liked on the team, and I can't fathom that Fred would run a guy like that off if Percy was willing to accept his role and limited minutes. Also, with two available scholarships I'm sure Fred knew he wasn't likely going to be able to pull in 3 impact transfers, and the high schoolers available are limited.

This ****** will write itself if/when we use the scholarships. If Fred brings in a couple of transfers and signs another HS recruit, then you have to think he was making room. If he banks the scholarship (doesn't get someone to take it), then it will be Percy looking for playing time.

Edit: Why does s-c-r-i-p-t get censored?

The good thing bringing in a one year player is this is like banking a scholly for the next year.

Props for thinking outside the box. For what it's worth, Georges did give Kourtlin a shout out on instagram last week saying don't sleep on his game. He has two years of eligibility left correct? Still not sure I see him playing before SDW
Think he's got 3 unless he is losing a year of eligibility this year. I think he redshirted initially at Minnesota State, but if so I'm not sure why he didn't see any PT in mop up minutes this year.

Edozie beat him out. He became lowest man on the totem pole.

I'd be surprised if he lands d1

Really? Why?

He had DI offers before he switched over to us, and while his last couple of years here didn't amount to a whole lot he did show some promise his freshmen year, when he put up his best stats.

I think he could go DII if he wants to play immeadiately, but otherwise I don't know why he would settle for anything less than a DI school.

Only one year of eligibility available and has to sit out a year makes him less attractive most likely.

You don't lock up schollys for 2 years for one year of a guy who has no killer instinct. Purely IMO.

He will probably look at schools closer to Detroit. I could see him making a difference on a team from the Horizon or Mid-American Conference. He has the mid-major kind of game and sitting out a year might light a fire under his arse.

Percy has a lot of talent. And a ton of experience with a great coach of a top team. With his good attitude, he could be a real asset to a team that needs a big guy.

Will Clyburn, Chris Allen, and Korie Lucious can't be compared to Percy.

Sure they can. They are guys who came in and really helped a D1 school for a single year ... like Percy will do. It may not be a Top 25 team like us, but he certainly can come in and help, especially if what we hear about his good attitude and work ethic is true.

Alright, lets be real here. Percy Gibson has been nothing but a good "clubhouse guy" for the last 2 years. Will, Chris, and Korie were starters on very solid NCAA tournament teams. No you can't compare them. You just can't. Don't get me wrong, I love Percy but he has regressed since his freshman year.

Your logic says that you can compare Brian Scalabrine to Lebron James because Scalabrine gets on a team and helps them with his "good attitude" and "work ethic" just like Lebron helps his team with MVP crowns and championship rings. Come on, really?!
