Start of the year I said Percy and Bluford will probably transfer. Best of luck to them both!
I do think Percy could be good somewhere, Iowa State is just becoming one of the better more talented teams. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if two years from now everyone here is like damn where was that Percy when he was here!?

deal, get er done fred. back on tangent, a guy like tariq black would be a good get for his scholly. ISU also has 2 walk-on spots open so i guess we'll see who those 2 guys are in a little while.
I remember for awhile he was starting for us over Ejim with Royce to move the latter to the 4 and have a "true center" for the first (and maybe only) time in Fred's tenure. My how things changed since then.
It is too bad it could not work out given the fact he was a starter as a true freshman at one point. I guess he had to see the writing on the wall for time down-low with Niang, Hogue, Nader, and McKay around and Fred's propensity for small, three guard lineups and/or more transfers coming immediately. I guess he was behind Edozie for the next spot there, too, which is really far back. I hope he finds a niche and tears it up for a swan song. The body and the talent was there--it just never seemed to come together in cardinal and gold.

If we were going to bank the scholarship for a high school kid, there would be no reason for Percy to go anywhere. If he didn't transfer anywhere after last year he obviously doesn't really care that much about PT. These decisions do not get made solely on the volition of the player.
I doubt that. A 3 year guy and good kid, I doubt the staff would boot him. Some kids don't pan out, this staff understands that. This is his last chance to play and he is going to take it. He probably thought he could get into the rotation this past year and it didn't work out.
We already had two open scholarships, and more depth already next year than we had this year. You are mental if you think Percy was forced out.

At this point in the season, we aren't going to sign 3 transfers. Might get 1 or 2 or 1 and 1 JUCO with a similar skill set as Edozie. At this point, our depth still hasn't really taken a hit. We just get even smaller than we already were. Good luck to Percy. I think he could be a dangerous player in the right system.

Props for thinking outside the box. For what it's worth, Georges did give Kourtlin a shout out on instagram last week saying don't sleep on his game. He has two years of eligibility left correct? Still not sure I see him playing before SDW
This ****** will write itself if/when we use the scholarships. If Fred brings in a couple of transfers and signs another HS recruit, then you have to think he was making room. If he banks the scholarship (doesn't get someone to take it), then it will be Percy looking for playing time.

I swear if we had 8 open scholarships dumb **** like this would still get posted.
Why does this prove anything about the decision? Regardless who we bring in we've had two scholarships for some time, are constantly looking for players and waiting for more transfers to announce, and now having three will be another plan perhaps.
Don't see any need to speculate.
