We need to win this battle.

Saw the tweet where mom (or sister?) even said how Roy offered Henry. Oh boy. We might be a tad behind in this race if the women behind the scene are crowing on this one. lol

So, when asked about a future visit the reply was "it's close by, we'll see." That's it? Not exactly a convincing endorsement. As for Ahmad, Adam Zagoria's article two days ago about him.. he didn't even mention us among 6 or 7 others. I think he just tells the reporter from that particular school that he's still interested, but I'm not so sure. Hope Diallo is still interested.

I'm not quite show how yall are so optimistic with these recruits. I give us about 10% chance with any of the guys we have been mentioned to be going after.

Did you think it would be easy recruiting against UNC and Duke and Kansas for these recruits? We're going to need some sustained success before we are able to compete with these guys.

With how setup the 2015-16 season already is in terms of players, Fred can afford to be picky and go after these kind of recruits. Don't get any? So what, we know there will always be Transfer Season 2015, where Fred can go after established players that can fill roles for everyone that's leaving after next year. Which is a lot. It's almost my preferred route, unless we can get Diallo.

I'm sure seeing how stacked we're going to be in 15-16 might scare away some of these guys who want immediate playing time. Not sure how much of that is going to be available.

Fair point, but its not like recruits can look at UNC, UK, KU, etc. and not see competition for playing time pretty much every year. Not as big of a deal if you're a top 10 recruit, but anyone after that should be thinking about it.

It's vital that Fred lands a 2015 post who can be counted on to see significant PT off the bench in the post rotation for 2015-16. The more I watch vids of the Greek kid, the more I think he won't be part of the playing rotation in the next two seasons. You can't count on a grad transfer post for 2015-16 as you suggest since a grad transfer will generally want to be a starter (see Anthony Lee and Ryan Anderson) and that won't happen if Niang/McKay are still here. A regular transfer will be sitting out 2015-16.

I agree with other posters that it's likely both Diallo and Ellenson end up elsewhere. Diallo seems to be strong lean to UK and Ellenson to Wisconsin (where he steps in for Kaminsky). A kid like Malik Dime might be the more likely option at this point.

There's no need to talk smack about our Greek guy who hasn't even played a game. Fred signed him, so I'm sure he figures Tsalmpouris can be molded into something valuable to the team.

As for Malik Dime, I would be more than happy signing him. He would be a fantastic addition.

Lets not pretend Fred has signed someone before because he was desperate. KJ Bluford was not good enough to play here.
