Yes. It is Derrick Graham. If we could land a commitment from him there would be celebrating. The fact that he is here at ISU visiting is very good. He has a lot of offers.

Clearly Derek is bigger than Tom in stature but how does Matt compare (at the same age)? If these Farniok kids keep getting bigger...holy ****balls...
I think that Graham just jumped up near the top of my wish list for this class. :yes:

I don't follow this thread and am not the most informed on recuiting...However can someone explain why we don't double our efforts on getting more offensive and d-line? I would rather take more of these guys that skills positions but it seems like we are always getting a lot of RB and WR. So frustrating!
To get you up to speed, we currently have 2 DL recruits, 2 OL recruits, and a combined 1 for RB and WR.
Doesn't show us as offering, but ESPN listed him as our "must-get" recruit.

Trey Scott tweeted earlier today that we are top 2 for Coffeyeville, KS JUCO DT Bobby Leath. He was interested in ISU out of HS with but headed JUCO route. No offer posted on Rivals, Scout shows one. Sure would be nice to lock down.

Spears was recruited as a hybrid/nickel, from what I understand. I'd guess that's the spot that this kid was being recruited to. He and DeLira's teammate James Bailey both--and that spot is filled now.
Seth Nerness for some reason just was demoted from a 3 star to a 2 star on Scout. I guess moving to North Carolina has hurt his playing ability. How can Iowa have 5 guys without any other BCS conference offers rated as 3-4 stars and we can't even get guys like Nerness and Spears, who have multiple offers get more than the mandatory 2 star ranking? The Paulson's do not have any other offers other than Iowa and yet they are considered 4 star players? Strange.
Done know about Nerness, but it's often due to the fact like some players haven't been evaluated at camps and stuff like that.
I thought Nerness was always a 2 star. You also can't just take the offers list as gospel. Some of these kids commit early and then don't report anymore offers bc they aren't going anywhere else. On the flip side just because a kid has offers from a couple major conference offers doesn't mean he is going to be rated a certain way.
