No, Kansas didn't host last year. Oklahoma State hosted the Big 12's only Gameday last year, and brought dozens of fans. DOZENS!!!

Seriously, this was their crowd:

That is pathetic. Actually OSUs entire season last year was pathetic. Poor fan support, underachieving basketball..the only reason their athletic department is decent is because of their sugar daddy.

I think it would be similar to when we opened Hilton up for the selection show, maybe a few more people.

I actually think we would have quite a few more people than that. Basketball following at ISU is at an all time high right now and Game day has never been to Ames for anything.
I think the students would turn out in droves.

When schools host Gameday, do they require the fans that attend to have season tickets? I wouldn't think so meaning hopefully a great turnout.

Iowa State certainly can no longer gripe about anyone not doing them any favors with scheduling. ISU doesn't have even two games in a row against the other three good teams in the conference (Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma). I do not think you could build a better schedule than what ISU got this year.

This is definitely a good schedule for us this year. Doesn't change that we have been shafted many, many times and are essentially every year in football.

Typically you do not even have to have a ticket to the evening game to get in for the morning tapings and live shots. It's usually open to the public. Some of the larger schools that expect huge crowds put out free tickets for the morning sessions. Kentucky gave out 15,000 free tickets to the Game Day morning event. Remember, they only need to fill that half of the arena. They don't want it at 100% capacity or they cannot actually have the show because it would be too loud. Here's what OSU put out before their's last year: http://www.okstate.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/022514aab.html Too bad they had such a terrible turnout. Highlights how bad OSU fans hate Travis Ford.

There's plenty of room for the morning broadcast, but where would they put the set for the evening (7:00-8:00) show? No room in the outer concourse or inner concourse. Johnny's is already over capacity (upcoming expansion).

They put a smaller set in center court while the players are warming up.

They would find room. Maybe on top of the scoreboard?

They would prob put it in the SW or NW corner, I would assume. There is more than enough room there. If they can fit the it in Gallegher Iba, they can fit it in Hilton.

We got a very good schedule dealt to us this year. I was a little worried about those 3 Big Mondays in a row but lucked out to get Tech and TCU before each one. This never happens to Iowa State!

That is how you know that we are one of the big boys now. The conference doesn't appear to be overtly out to get us.

I'm a student and didn't get basketball tickets through the stupid lottery system they put in this year. Luckily I held on to my $150 season tickets I've had since Royce's year. The way they gave out tickets this year to students was dumb.

What? All you did was buy them. There was no lottery.

I have student tickets and season tickets this year. That Kansas ticket is going to be worth some serious coin. It will come close to paying for half my season tickets.
