Leave Chris alone,...... it is not his fault we are one of the absolute worst D-1 teams in the nation. Recruiting assessment and player development by this gawd-awful crew of coaches is abysmal. Wyoming has a pretty good head coach we might be able to steal.

Sorry, I'm in agreement with your statement, but this line made me think of this

The number one reason I sold this site after so many years. Nothing is ever good enough or the right thing, even when awesome and free. CW does a hell of a job and continues to take it like nobody else would.

Agreed

Go ahead. Take the loss out on me, big shot behind an anonymous username. I'm used to it.

Thanks for your input and page views, Doc.

Come on Williams! You have to be more professional then that! You can't have your cake and eat it too! You have those who blow sunshine up your wazoo and compliment you left and right. Then one guy takes a jab and you get upset?

That comes with the territory, no matter the fan base.

Take a deep breathe and just continue to do what you do.

NDSU would be middle of the table in the big 10. why are we not recruiting them to the big 12. great program and make this annual big 12 embarrassment stop at least

Because they would kick us out and we would become 1AA!

On radio are you just allowed to straight up say "We suck"....Like clonedude said, no need to sugar coat things....Just say it how it is...I'm not sure if you honestly just cant say that stuff or what.

Bruns doesn't have an issue with it.

I'm not surprised they lost today. I was told 4 weeks ago to try to get my money back for my season tickets. And that was from someone in the program.

Guys Chris has a product to sell too and he's also close with the staff. It's his job to not completely put down the staff and players. Put yourself in his shoes, it's his business and livelihood.

i too thought the bison guy was crazy predicting that score and all of you thought the same thing 6 hours ago.

Yeah the media has to walk a fine line, but on the flip side there aren't any inside moles/insiders within the coaching staff either. So its not like you have to worry about making them too mad for calling a spade a spade!

if anybody should worry about it, it would be Bruns and he wasn't holding anything back!

I actually feel bad for CW/Whitver because the schedule just gets more brutal. When we're 0-5 after taking some major curb stomps from Baylor, Oklahoma State and probably K-State, they are going to sound 10 times more distraught.

But then we'll beat Toledo and CPR will give a passionate postgame speech and all will be right in the Cyclone world

Heck their job will be easy. All we will hear are the sounds of bush light being cracked open every five minutes until they pass out!

This thread is a perfect example of what happens when guys like Chris, CPR, and Jamie do nothing but sell hype hype and more hype. It's been going on for two straight years, and it has become ridiculous. I can't tell if Chris really believes some of the things he sells, but I have to admit he is a hell of a salesman and because of that this site does very well. He deserved credit for that, but he also deserves blame for this type of crap. He's taking it like a man and I applaud him for that.

I think there is a fine line that a guy in Chris' shoes has to walk. His job certainly has benefits when he is connected with the program. It's pretty tough to stay connected to the program if you're constantly bashing the players and the coaches who are running it. On the flip side it's pretty tough to maintain what I would call "journalistic integrity" when all you're doing is writing dreamy things about a team that ends up being flat out terrible. You can't honestly tell me there hasn't been some serious red flags these past couple years. You have to cover both sides of it, and Chris just focuses far too much on the positives. You can be critical and respectful at the same time, and I would think his connections within the program would understand and even respect that (then again we all know CPR can be a bit immature with the media so who knows).

I get the positivity, but like I said, there's a fine line. In my opinion, which I'm entitled to, Chris crosses the line by being far too positive and many people on these message boards read much too far into things that he says which then causes them to create totally unrealistic expectations,. In some cases it makes the fan base look a tad bit ridiculous. Like Stormin for example... That guy severely fed into all the hype. His comments all offseason just look insane right now. Some of that type of stuff is absolutely the result of the way Chris, CPR, an JP go above and beyond to sell the fan base even if they know damn well the stuff they are saying is a huge stretch. This type of meltdown wouldn't happen if the Cyclone fan base wasn't served so much hype these past couple years. Chris doesn't work for the University. He's the one person out of those three individuals who has a lot more room to be critical and he just doesn't do it.

I get all of this, what I don't get is why you care, and why you care enough to take the time to type this manifesto and the others you've shot off today. You're entitled to your opinion but no one gives a **** and we're all wondering what turn in your life took you to this website, then took you to think on this topic so deeply, then put those thoughts down in writing. I'd just really like to know what your life is actually like, because no matter what you tell me, it's going to be pathetic in some way or another.
