What is going on with this team? The new facilities should have made them better. Wed now face the biggest game yet in CPR tenure after the last one. He needs to get his team back to playing tough football for the players, for him, for the media, for the trolls, and...and....and for the fans.

I was always supportive of Rhoads but things are definitely not right on this team. The guy would not have put in all this work to quit week 2 of the season.

I agree. I doubt this was something that all of a sudden 'hit' him this week. You've to got to believe this was in his mind before spring practice and throughout fall camp. Better now than just going through the motions.

Good for him. If you're not in the game, make way for someone else. Most people look at it as selfish, but I look at it the opposite way. If you aren't committed 100% you aren't doing the program any favors and he might as well make way for Campos.

Agree. Not going to say anything negative about him, because I don't know him. But actions speak louder than words, and if he isn't committed to his teammates, I don't want him wearing ISU colors. Best of luck, young man.

Pump the breaks a little here buddy. If this becomes a pattern then sure, but this is the first player (i believe)who has just quit or transferred. By all indications, the players love CPR. This is nothing like McDermott(yet).

There were rumblings last year the players were having issues with the coaches (running them into the ground, etc.) and that's why the "players council" was created. It sounded like Rhoads and the coaches may have changed their style but, based on today, maybe not.

Wasn't this the same reason Jensen left the team last year?

I disagree. Less depth on oline is always a disaster. Especially when you take a starter out.

You point makes him out to be much worse IMO, sounds like he was going thru the motions the last 6 mos. He basically did the worst thing he could do for the program by hanging on until now.

Agree with this. I saw us fold like a tent to a FCS team at home, as soon as they punched back. That is a scary combo when you factor in our total lack of talent.

Pompey, Bevins, Rogers, Coe, Irving, Kron, Gannon, Graham, Dika, Loth, Moore, Luna, Ayeni, Bundrage.

I think that's the entire list of people who could/should be playing this year for us if not due to leaving the team, injuries, breaking the rules, etc.

My point is that we are/were already at "disaster" level with him in there on Saturday. It's not going to matter much, IMO. I'm pretty sure Baylor's scout team offense is better than what we're likely to see this year.
