This thread has taught me one thing, there is absolutely no middle ground anywhere on any topic any more. At all.

Ahh, people are simply at various stages of the "Cyclone Fanatic Stages of Grief" (trademark pending)

Most have passed denial, some are at anger, a few at bargaining, one or two at reconstruction (Campos)

By about post 500 - i have a feeling someone will break through to acceptance by tossing out the "we never wanted him in the first place" line

What this thread taught me was when Chris Williams sent out the "Alert" Forum: To Not Make Things Personal, I started hitting refresh on the computer repeatedly until the motherload hit. It hit, and Motherload it was.

That's only true if the staff puts him and Lazard in a position to develop and succeed. There's risk in throwing a guy out on the field when he's not ready yet. I thought about that watching Richardson in the pocket last week. He definitely looked a little skittish, and that lack of confidence comes from the terrible spot he was put in last year with Messingham's "game plans".

This is correct. You can get away with playing a freshman on OLine if you can surround him with talent to prop him up and help him learn. At this point ISU's line isn't equipped to hold their own plus make sure a newbie holds his end of the bargain. I'm telling you guys, trial by fire in this situation usually doesn't turn out well, especially the first few starts.

I don't think many disagree with this. Sam has a rough, rough Saturday ahead of him.

It would only take 10 posts to get to this on HawkeyeNation....

Is that going to something like The FranCon Alert System?

Too disappointed to read all the posts but I hope if its a personal issue so be it and hope he gets things resolved. That being said if he says he is simply burnt out I think he's letting his teammates down and the program as a whole. Wow.

Ah, welcome once again to the Internet, a powerful device that gives users the ability to make proclamations about other people's character without actually knowing more than about 5 percent of the relevant information.
