6-1 205 when he played for us.

Makes you wonder if we use real heights and weights after summer pumpup.

I think we all know that there is a LOT of fiction in those numbers, but we all want to play along and pretend that the listed numbers are actual. Just like the NBA and NFL draft day measurements reveal a lot about the players' real measurements, but we all just proceed with a wink and nod about these things.

It is my opinion, that at some point in the near future people are going to look back at what's going on right now as the turning point in Rhoads tenure. Maybe some info will come out that fans will actually believe, maybe it won't. That's besides the point. I just think when you combine the losses with the turmoil from the past 6 months it's going to be far too much to overcome.

Again, that's just my opinion. I'm not asking you to believe it or not. I'm just sharing how I feel. Maybe 6 months from now I'll be wrong.

I think 6 months from now we may have 1 or 2 more wins which will be all the evidence needed. Hopefully the troops rally and can do something that nobody expects.

Help me understand. Why do you even care? Why are you so wrapped up in whether Rhoads is the coach or not. You aren't an ISU fan. So why does it matter? Why post incessantly in threads about Rhoads and try to convince people that he is terrible and hurting the program?

Furthermore, why should ISU fans care what your opinion is? Think Oklahoma fans care what the Texas fans think of Stoops? Or Alabama fans care what Auburn fans think of Saban?

I'm surprised the callers son hasn't come back to play football at Iowa State, he doesn't have to worry about the "rah rah" speeches since we have only won 3 games in 22 months.

My guess is Mr. Myers is one of those kinds of parents who was just mad CPR didn't give his son a shot to play.

No - I'm actually judging on all 3 of those points I listed. A PARENT of a WALK-ON who TRANSFERRED.

Here's some other lines to read through

A completely ANONYMOUS person on the RADIO who may actually know NOTHING.

If you aren't going to put your name on it, don't expect me to buy it.

And I'll just make clear my viewpoint on this - very often those who are further down the depth chart and aren't happy about it (or a parent who thinks their kid is better than he/she is and is ****** they aren't playing more) are the biggest complainers.

I'm not going say there isn't disharmony in the lockerroom. But for ****'s sake - look at the (alleged) source.

If you take each case individually there are rational explanations you may or may not believe in. But with ALL the attrition - guys quitting football while they still have eligibility, all the losing, all the coaching changes, all the everything else MAYBE there is a time to do more than readjust your deck chair on the Titanic.

You want to explain away every little bad thing as no worries. Others point to every little bad thing as the apocolypse. I think we're somewhere in the middle and it ain't that grand...

You're kidding, right? Last season the lion's share of posters in the football thread were screaming for coach blood. Fire Mess was a daily litany.

Seriously though, we have had an uncomfortable amount of player turnover under Rhoads. When the recruiting classes aren't great to start with we can't afford to be losing players. Especially when the program relies on having fourth and fifth year players to be competitive. What's going on in the locker room?

Can CFH come in and explain why unity and team chemistry is critical to having a good team?

Don't get me wrong - I'm worried as hell. And even though I'm bagging on the whole instance this morning - I fully realize and admit that it could be 100% true and accurate. I think it's less than is being made out (see KingCy's post).

Gannon leaving bothers me. Jensen leaving last spring kinda bothered me - but I see a lot of merit in the idea of Irving and Coe being cancers. But something about the dad of a walk-on who's no longer on the team chiming in on a call in radio show without actually standing behind what he's saying by giving his name and commenting about what his son says about this year's situation that makes me just not put a lot of stock in it.
