That wasn't really the point, and you weren't the only one to use that example. So cool your jets.

But do you really wish to say that if you sat in a meeting at your accounting firm, and said "**** her in the *****", you think you would be employed soon after? Or at least face no consequence?

Depends which co-workers are in the meeting

It's the entitlement issues that are the biggest issue with him, and you'd best believe NFL teams are taking note. Is hoping on a table and saying that a huge deal, especially juxtaposed against some of the issues we are seeing in sports right now? No. But it's doing these things when you know people know who you are, when you know they will tweet about it, etc. that just makes you think that he believes he's above it all. That feeling of being untouchable has gotten many professional athletes in trouble, and while you can maybe write it off to being a dumb kid his days of being treated like a kid are numbered.

It's amazing to me that 18 year old "kids" in the military don't get cut this much slack. Thing is, he SHOULD feel like he is above it all... because he obviously is by FSU's standards.

Now if he ever yells "stick the straw right in the lid" after his BK soda transgression, that would be going too far.

Like I said, walk a mile in my shoes, you might feel differently.

If I was sitting in a cafeteria and some guy got up on a table and shouted that (internet meme or not), my first reaction would NOT be - gee, he really things highly of women, to talk about them that way.

If you stood up in a meeting and shouted that to your female boss, do you think it would diminish your chances for promotion?

I really don't care that it's a meme, and that it's "everywhere". Using it (and excusing it) indicates a lack of respect for women. It paints the picture that the person quoting it or defending it thinks women are only worth one thing. And that one thing ain't respect.

I disagree.

What he said was disrespectful to everyone including himself and embarrassing for his family and friends. There is no need to single out women.

Why is this even a popular internet meme? Maybe I'm getting old and don't understand the humor, but there's no creativity to it

I honestly didn't even know it was a meme, just saw the original video of it being said. Reporter didn't know he was being recorded & live on a local news broadcast about a missing girl, IIRC.

Video NSFW, if not obvious..

Nope, fake. Made up. Created for the purposes of internet fame and fortune. Not only was the original "newscast" faked, the guy also faked a couple more supposedly live broadcasts where he grabbed the mic and shouted the phrase.

So this is the worst kind of internet meme, a forced creation by somebody looking to start something. And good old Jameis bought into it, hook, line and gullible sinker.

Heck, it's not even a funny saying. I really don't get it.

Wait. Winston was in pads and thought he was gonna play in the second half tonight? I thought the new punishment was handed down a couple days ago?

I think it was just last night some time that they increased it. I thought when they showed the video of Fisher talking to Winston after he changed out of his pads it looked like Fisher said something along the lines of "my fault". I say this with exactly 8 minutes of experience in lip reading so I'm probably right.
