Our passing zoomed up when Montgomery got on the field.

He was on the field previously, it "zoomed up" when he started getting plays called for him

the absolute best part of the emergence of Lazard and Montgomery? The slant routes on 3rd and medium.

Not sure hot Dvario was MIA the first 3 games. Seems like bad playcalling. Lazard also is/will be a beast.

I think, in part, that is an Iowa kid thing. That's one of the things I love most about Jake Knott.

You have to think he will be better than Lane Danielson besides Lane was closer to Josh Lenz than Lazard. I'd compare Lazard to a better version of Todd Blythe.
Holy ****. If he's a better version of Todd Blythe, we've got a Heisman campaign to start.

Lazard has exceeded my expectations of him times 10. Wasn't expecting this at all. It made a difference that Bundrage isn't out there, but he has stepped into that role as a true freshman. Can't wait to watch him grow as a Cyclone.

Jake Knott was mostly raised in Kansas City.

I love Iowa, but Iowa is no better or worse than any other state and the people are no better or worse.

I disagree. Good people can come from anywhere, but as a whole, the people of Iowa are kinder, friendlier and more humble than any other place I've been. And I've had other people tell me that as well when they find out I'm from there.

Jake is very humble, but I heard he talked a lot of crap on the field. At least he could back it up :spinny::spinny::spinny:

That's what I embody as the competitive spirit. Typically I'm never rude, and try to maintain my temper at all times. You put me in a competitive environment, all bets are off.

Let's debate if people from Iowa or nice than people from other states.

I think right now we have 3 nfl receivers on the field in Lazard, Bibbs, and Montgomery

I think Bundrage will play a lot in the slot next year. With his speed he can excel there.

I think you're right. Assuming he comes all the way back from his injury (no reason he shouldn't), I see Montgomery and Lazard on the outside with QB and Medders or Wesley working over the middle. Tough group to cover. And of course Ecby and Daley have shown they're capable playmakers too.

I think next year we'll see more 4 receiver sets without Bibbs. Not that we won't use tight ends, we'll just focus more on receivers.

Well..it is idiotic to suggest backgrounds/experiences don't make a difference in people. You can argue better or worse or whatever, but differences exist and to suggest otherwise is PC gone nuts.

I feel like with his size, Montgomery could kind of take on Bibbs's role. Not that he would play tight end, but we split out Bibbs so much that Montgomery could do it as well to cause the matchup problems against backers and safeties that Bibbs does. They're both similar after the catch as well, with how hard they run and fight.
