I agree with you. I think the exhibition game showed both the fact that he still needs some work and also how much potential is there. I'm convinced that he can be a contributor this season, even in limited action, until McKat makes it here.

I agree. I kept yelling at the TV for him to shoot it or post up, just to see what he could do. But he was definitely looking to pass first, which is totally cool. Yeah tons of potential. If we get him for 4 years he'll be dominating down low by his senior year.

If you scroll up I brought up the point for both you and cyhiphop. I wasn't looking to fight or anything, just making a general point that the whiners can't seem to grasp. Get over it man. Sorry man. But I don't get how you think you're making a general point when you specifically quote a person. If that's not direct - I don't know what is. Not you alone either - a lot of that going on around here.

Back to the dunk - I don't care. It wasn't a critical moment, the points didn't matter, the game didn't count. Do that in crunch time (and miss) and we have problems. My issue (for lack of a better term) is I didn't find it all that impressive or even showy. Give it a 5/10. I thought the reverse was much more impressive/showy or whatever - say 7.5.

Regarding Niang and Tsalbo - cyclones.com doesn't tend to show missed dunks in their highlight reel - so I can't comment what I thought of it. But given the above thoughts - don't care much there either but the same future criteria probably applies.

I'm just trying to point out people who freak out when someone says something not glowing about a showboat dunk - particularly with they didn't even criticize said dunk at all, then suggest those people don't want a winning team, to impress recruits or whatever inane other thought goes through their head.

Did you seriously just suggest that a dunk is simply showboating because it's "harder" than a layup? For you perhaps.

As I've pointed out already here, the people doing the complaining are the ones complaining about the straw man they created themselves of people complaining about the dunk. Not one person has actually criticized the dunk. Some have said in general they don't care for showboating, but no one has criticized BDJ. But some people want to make a big deal out of nothing by creating a fake complaint out of "people making a big deal out of nothing" that aren't making a big deal out of nothing in the first place.
