Just wondering why this game would be considered their super bowl, is it because we can't figure out how to beat them very often?

Because they are little brother and they only care about beating us in December since they know they can't keep up with Fred in March

Iowa won twenty more of those games in the early 1900s. In the modern-era when people cared more about sports, their results have been fairly even.

It's their superbowl as ISU has gone to the tourney the last three years and won a Big 12 tourney title where Iowa didn't (other than a play-in game.)

No, its because Iowa hasn't won an NCAA Tourney game for more than a decade. And ISU has won 4 tourney games in the last 3 years.

Glad to see a lot of our "fans" have already given up and chalked this game up as a loss...

Didn't realize "predictions" actually meant "It doesn't matter if you analyze the game or know anything about basketball, as long as you say the Clones will win."

FWIW, I think we are significantly better team than Iowa. Just think that the rivalry game on the road will be difficult to overcome.

91-90 in 3 OT - ThreeZus hits the winner with 4.2 seconds left. We foul Gazelle on the inbounds - you know the rest of the story.

Box Score Highlights

Laptop Roundhouses - Fran 3 CFH 0
Chair Tosses - Fran 3 CFH 0
Official Bumps- Fran 3 CFH 0

Average Francon level - 3

Iowa State moves up 3 Spots in the polls

Quotes after the game -

When asked if this now confirms that this is a Cyclone State, Aaron White replied, "I don't think you can look at it that way. We have the better team on the floor and we dominated every aspect of the game. Coach had a great game plan we could score on them at will. It is really frustrating that the scoreboard doesn't get that yet but we will keep trying."

"It doesn't surprise us really, I told you all that this is a Cyclone State last year", quipped Georges Niang. "What you are all learning now is that this is a Cyclone Nation as well."

ISU just barely gets by 78-76.

Postgame reaction:
Niang sits back in his chair, as he's asked what he thinks about taking another one from the Hoks. He takes a deep breath, smiles, and starts belting out "Sweet Caroliiiiine...."

Meanwhile, across the arena, the EI media surrounds Woodbury at his locker. The deep purple bruise on his cheek is swelling and clearly visible, the ugly remnants of a laptop that was kicked in his face by his own coach after teammate Mike Gesell misses all three free throws with one second left and his team down two. The first question he's asked: "How were you held without a rebound in 37 minutes tonight when you had at least five inches on every Cyclone? And how much did that contribute to tonight's loss?"

Woodbury's response: "I am Groot?"

You forgot Jon Miller going ballistic and blaming the refs after Iowa ends the game with two more fouls against them.

Random fact: The WTC towers were still standing the last time Iowa won a tourney game.

IMO, you all just quoted, replied and engaged a troll.

I could be wrong... but my troll radar is beeping.

Will be really disapointed if the team comes out flat. Naz needs a nice bounceback game as done Matt Thomas. Need to play some defense this game too
