Seems to me that Fred should be looking for a way to get BDJ (and Nader I suppose) out of that Apt and someplace a little more ... lenient, isolated, controllable etc.

In no way am I excusing BDJ in this - just change the dynamic at play here.

"Hey Bryce, Abdel I've got a couple sleeping bags set up for you in the Sukup. You're not allowed to leave until April 7, 2015."

Sharing my opinion just like everyone else. I've even made it clear twice now that I thought Jok should have been suspended for his incidents. I'm not letting bias get in the way here.

BDJ isn't going to learn anything if he continues to be allowed to do whatever he pleases at the expense of those around him. I think the right thing to do is suspend him for a couple games just like I thought with Jok. However, selfishly I'd rather see BDJ play. Will be much more entertaining to watch the two teams play at full strength. No excuses necessary.

The question was asked if you led the crusade to punish Jok over on Hawkeyenation like you are here? I would like the answer to that.

What does it matter? He was OVER the limit. Not hard to understand. There have been many previous issues as well as defacing property. Not really surprising knowing BDJ's past.

And here comes the backpedaling and the clinging to anything I pointed out earlier.

If he's suspended it should be because he broke a specific set of expectations with Fred, not because someone had his stereo on 12 instead of 11.

I'll say this for Matt White. He has balls. He didn't have to say a word but when the Daily tracked him down he gave a reasonable, well-spoken explanation of what he did, why he did it, and the background that led up to it. Probably knowing full well there would be idiots on message boards calling him everything in the book for doing it.

If what has been reported so far is accurate, neither Matt White nor the Ames PD did anything wrong. If BDJ is so difficult that after repeated warnings and hours from a big game he can't use common sense and be a better neighbor, he deserves whatever he gets (which is going to be what, a one game suspension at most?).

It's a shame he let his teammates down.

Ok, let me clarify- I do think Jok should have gotten a lengthier suspension (2-3 games). I honestly feel that way. The point I was making is you cant let DeJean Jones off like he is a first time offender, because the baggage he has isnt one of an incoming freshman, or first timer.

Also, gosh, some of you are REALLY thinned skinned. I welcome Clones to the hawk board. Its nice to hear opinions outside of the bubble of your team. Especially ribsnwiskey. How about instead of just cussing at someone like some ****** off 4 year old who just dropped their sucker on the ground, you actually articulate the way you feel, and we can have a conversation.

See the thing is, when it comes to situations like these, I would think most clone fans don't give a **** what you have to say because you're obviously biased.

You can wear earplugs or cover your ears for noise. If somebody has the bass going it doesn't matter if it is loud or not, it is annoying as hell. It was 3AM on a Wednesday. Most of the people on this board would have called the cops on him too. Like I said, just because he's on the basketball team doesn't mean he gets to ruin the quality of life of his neighbors.

How about you take my advice instead. I have no interest in a "conversation" with a squawk fan who clearly is only posting over here because of this news. Just go away.

Wherever I go, there I am.
Oh look ribsnwhiskey stoops to namecalling because he has nothing intelligent to add. PAAAAR for the course.

Tell you what, we'll all stop calling you names if you promise to stop posting except when you have something intelligent to add. By my count you'd have about 1,080 fewer posts to date if you followed that rule. Now run along.

Maybe.

He's also a ***** if he can't deal with some noise in college.

A ***** with balls. #MattWhitetheHermaphrodite
