Thank God. I was afraid there was another one. You went to the archives for that one.

First thought was Pratt. "no, no - that was running out the back door of the gym and into the woods and he wasn't at ISU at the time"

Didn't mean to insinuate that but I'd be surprised if it isn't close to 50%. Seems like grass is now in about the same position as alcohol was during prohibition, people kept doing it so the law finally changed. It's just happening slower since big pharma and the alcohol companies have a lot of politicians in their hip pockets.

LOL no. I know friendships that have ended over people smoking. It is nowhere near 50%, and those who do publicly smoke are usually the outcasts or the hipsters who think they look cool. Or the art students who think it makes them "deep"

More importantly, he didn't try to rob a Burger King that had his picture on the wall.

3 blocks from the police station, practically across the street from the Donut King (or whatever that place was called)

"hey Sam"

"It's not me"

Not every student, but it is relatively normal. I still think that the wrestler is more at fault. I just can't get passed that it was 60 dbs. Seriously though My apartment building I can hear people when I leave to go to class being much louder. In my apartment when I go to sleep I can hear the people above me making loud noises. It sounds like they are jumping around. That is part of living in college. Really that is part of living in an apartment. You may hear some noise. Turn up your music and go to sleep if you need to. It isn't hard.

Considering the cops arrested him and charged him, the wrestler's complaints were considered legitimate in their opinion.

His past shouldnt matter? I mean, I believe in giving people second chances (in this case, his 7th), but where theres smoke. Im sorry, but you cant act like a complete crap head, then when you leave town, you get to completely start over, time after time. It doesnt work like that. What he did at USC, and UNLV should absolutely matter, ESPECIALLY when they all revert back to his behavioral issues. Look, Im not saying people cant change, but when issues keep popping up of the same variety, you eventually have to be held accountable. Hes a grown man. He cant keep getting more chances than Joe Shmoe on the corner, just because he puts a ball in the hoop. Im not being ridiculous, Im being realistic. And this is the real world, and this is how these things work.

So next time Jok gets in any trouble I expect to see a thread from you calling for him to be kicked off the team, three strikes and you're out.

You weren't listening to the Murph and Andy show then. Multiple callers who said they were ISU fans saying that they wanted him gone. Some of them may have been hok fans trying to stir the pot, but not all of them.

A lot of people on here who are confirmed ISU fans who "don't want this element on the team".

A lot of people want all of our athletes to be choir boys who never do anything wrong and are quick to throw the first stone when someone gets in trouble.

It just gets old.

Sorry but I don't believe more than a couple have stated they "don't want this element on the team" and at least one is a Hok troll.

I trust Fred to do the right thing, whether that's a suspension or not. I don't expect anyone to be a choir boy, but I do believe in holding people accountable for their actions and choices. I remember under Tim Floyd, Kenny Pratt had much more serious legal problems than this, and IIRC Pratt was never held accountable by Floyd.

A good chunk of students smoke regularly, and even more have smoked, but that's not a good reason to say it's okay to do. Not to mention it's just stupid to have a substance around that could get you in trouble, and then do something else that could get the police called to an apartment.

Suspend him for what? How is a suspension for a noise violation "smart"?

Fred suspended both Babb and Godfrey without any charges at all. It wasn't until later that Godfrey was arrested, which was his 3rd strike and resulted in him getting the boot.

He doesn't need to base his decision on the legal outcome of the situation. It all comes down to what really happened and whether or not he broke team rules.

Have you completely ignored all of the reports of the issues they have been having at their apartment, and the meeting(s) he has had with Freddy, the police, and the tenant.
