Let's not pretend to know all the fact here. You have one side, by a guy who has spoken to the police. We don't know Bryce's side yet.

It sounds like BDJ was a jerk to live by and the White kid is total spaz.

And of course, as always, the Ames PD is a bunch of total clowns, who overreacted. A bunch of jokers who think they need to train in Swat gear and roll in the tanks when a few drunk college kids throw a party.

If i recall right, ames PD were the ones getting glass bottles and beer cans thrown at them last time. But hey, **** the police, right?

You've got to be kidding me. People like you two do not know the history of the situation, yet you call Matt names and want him shunned? Matt stood up for himself and has talked to directly to BDJ and the coaches. Matt has a backbone you and his neighbors don't have.

I think this guy must have tweeted racist gun threats to KU players as well.

So how does this work? Hello, I want to complain about something that happened last week. Doesn't that just make it his word against yours at that point?

I'm sure it would have happened again. Did he text bdj last night? Or knock on the door and say you're being to loud and i'm about to call the cops if you don't turn it down. I dislike people that use cops for something they are to scared to do themselves

LOL cuz there isn't drama in the NBA. none at all...

They don't turned dropped charges and a childish neighbor feud into an event that calls for live-streaming the god damn press avail.

This is the kind of crap that makes a coach want the hell out of Iowa.

Beyond the fact Bryce was being a massive jerk that would ruin the lives of any of us living next door, the claims of constant parties does not make me think he'll work his way into the NBA. I really don't mind college athletes having a ball and putting the overall experience over being 100% disciplined, but I thought he came here with a national championship and the NBA in mind.

Something tells me BDJ shared "his side" with Fred in their private meeting and that's all that we'll ever know of it. And Fred suspended him for a game.

BDJ made some mistake - we might ever not know the full extent of it, but he messed up. It happens.

But blaming the neighbor, who for all we know is an innocent guy, just because he didn't want to live next to a nuisance and put up with it because it was a basketball player, is just really, really, really stupid.

That's the best guess IMO. Makes me a little nervous with the fact that Nader is still pretty rusty, but what better game for him to have a coming party?
It is Iowa City...

Morris
Long
Nader
Hogue
Niang

Starting five tomorrow? Thomas and Edozie getting a lot of minutes too of course.

I see it as most likely Morris, Long, Hogue, Niang, Edozie. Idk if they will want to play Long/Thomas consistently at the 3 against Uthoff due to his height and shooting ability. Plus Edozie has starting experience against UNC. Long/Thomas can dominate Jok if they put him there imo though.

I don't think Matt is scared of anyone. Look up why he came to ISU.

If the noise was so bad before, I am sure that the Ames cops would have given him a noise ticket or arrested him for the very minor noise offense before last night.

I get the feeling that the noise was never much of an issue when this kid called it in---but the police came and probably knew there was nothing to do and they were dealing with a whiny kid (White) and a bunch of immature ******** (BDJ and his roommates). The idea that the White kid should text BDJ when things were too noisy makes me think that everyone involved was acting like children. If it was that bad, then the policec would have arrested or ticketed him or something. They probably knew that the White kid was ****** and was going to make an issue out of everything and looped Fred into the situation. Fred probably told BDJ not to be an ******* and quit ******* this kid off. BDJ and the roommates didn't listen because in their minds what they were doing wasn't all that bad (the comment in the article about the 'suck my ****' sign on the door reeks of people that are immature all the way around). I suspect that BDJ and the roommates were ****** that the coach got brought into it and became even more of an ******* to the White kid after that.

Last night they probably got another call. Came to the apartment realized that YET AGAIN the noise wasn't a big deal, but since the stupid kid called it in, they had to talk to BDJ. They knocked on the door, smelled the pot, thought they'd finally get the kid and arrested him on some trumped up misdemeanor drug charge.

This is basically middle school girl **** that it being done by 21 year old college kids.

People should not be blaming the Matt White kid for taking the steps he felt were necessary to live in peace. I can't say I would have handled it the same way, but then again, I've never been in that situation.

On the other hand, him giving quotes and his name to the Iowa State Daily is one of the most foolish things I've seen in some time. No good can come of that, especially for him.

I choose not to live in apt buildings because there will always be someone that acts like a disrespectful punk. ESP in a college town, comes with the territory. I remember one place in Ames that would have a fire alarm pulled once a week. College kids act stupid
