People should not be blaming the Matt White kid for taking the steps he felt were necessary to live in peace. I can't say I would have handled it the same way, but then again, I've never been in that situation.

On the other hand, him giving quotes and his name to the Iowa State Daily is one of the most foolish things I've seen in some time. No good can come of that, especially for him.

+1 especially about no good will come out of it. It does shows how much Matt wanted to tell his side of the story since I think he knew he was going to get crucified in the court of public opinion. The article does show that since Matt seems to be the only one of the neighbors willing to stand up, the players are blaming him for ruining their good time. BDJ is putting his future employment in jeopardy. You would think he wouldn't want to test Holberg's resolve.

Where does one look this up.

Saw he was a wrestler in 12-13. I suppose bring a wrestler automatically disqualifies you from being scared to confront your neighbors. 5&4 record, ehh. I know I could never ever be a college wrestler buti feel like Costanza telling Jeter "6 games"

The hardest part was having to watch Fred responding to questions. He didn't need this or the team. Horrible distraction. Can't wait for tomorrow night. Cyclone's are going to be jacked up tomorrow night.

I agree with both parts. Why he would agree to talk with the Daily is beyond me. He should have known that there will be dumb people criticizing him.

Here's a question. If the inappropriate pot arrest hadn't be part of this, is the noise complaint even a story?

BDJ had 5 other complaints, and I don't think anyone heard about that nor was he suspended for those. Five does seem pretty excessive. So if he was gonna be suspended for noise, why not do it at the second complaint, or 3rd, 4th, or 5th? Why is the 6th now the magic number?

The answer is he shouldn't, its a stupid noise complaint, he should pay whatever fines and have Hoiberg deal with it internally.

It is amazing to me the number of people who can't understand the concept of progressive discipline.

Fred wants to win every game, but he knows the most important things is to build this team for March.

The Daily article says he tried talking to them directly before involving the police. But go on and blame the guy who was just trying to sleep at three in the morning on Wednesday night during dead week. Totally his fault and not the ******** who couldn't be bothered to turn down their subwoofer.

I don't know why people think he was suspended for a noise complaint. He was suspended because he was given multiple chances, had a meeting with the cops and his coach which laid out an agreement going forward and he couldn't keep out of trouble.

Maybe Fred is to blame for not serving a harsher penalty sooner, but to me it sounds like Fred understood what is like to be a college student and understood things like that happen. He also trusted that Bryce was adult enough to behave when he got close to crossing the line and Bryce failed to be an adult in that case.

Its like a guy who gets 2 speeding tickets. Both speeding tickets were pretty minor, but he knows that if he gets a third one, he loses his license for a year. Then the guy gets a ticket for going 30 in a 25. Sure, he was barely speeding and the cop is kind of a jerk for giving it to him, but why the hell would you even risk going 5 over if the consequences were losing your license.

It wouldn't surprise me that if after the meeting with the cops, Fred told Bryce that one more issue like that leads to a missing a game.

I would imagine that Bryce is on a real short leash now.

I hope Matt White ends up unsuccessful in life, I hope he will be a forever virgin loser. I hope he graduates with no job offers because no one wants to work with a straight edge try hard complainer.

PRO TIP 4 MATT WHITE: Please drop out and go to EUI. I am sure you will have many fans there you jerk.

Stay classy...
