Besides Dustin, Matty really gave us a huge lift offensively. McKay continues to impress. But, man, what has happened to Nader? Dude, you can't ALWAYS drive baseline under the basket and try to throw it back out. Also, we need to drastically improve our FT %!!! If you forget the three ball and just focus on FTs the last two games, we win this game by a little more comfortable margin and we win against South Carolina if we make about 70% from the charity stripe!

Sure hope Niang can get out of his scoring funk...teams are really working to keep him from going off.

Guard GN with a tall long athlete and if GN can't get and make 3s he can't be effective - I think conference teams may have figured him out.

One positive throwback: I think the Elite Eight team won something like 66-65 vs. Nebraska in the early conference season. It may have been AT Nebraska, but still, it's good to remember they weren't perfect.

Otherwise, this ISU team needs to figure things out if they're going to be a top half/conference type of team.

The 00-01 team won at Neb on a last second bucket by Rancik I think.

Holy @@@@, I thought for sure Niang fouled him there. And Forte would have made all 3 FTs and we would have lost.

Oh well, a W is a W. I think our guys need to understand that a performance like this against KU would be a 20+ pt loss.

I think we'd be LUCKY to lose by 20 if we play like this... more likely a 30+ beatdown.

A win is a win that is for sure but we have been very out of sync last two games, seem to be trying to find the right combo of players out there. On to wvu and trust fred to figure it out

8 games in Hoiberg era vs. Oklahoma State decided by average of 3.1 points. Five games by 2 points or less. Three went to at least one OT. ISU has a 1-point edge in total margin of victory.

I remember that.

According to Wiki: January 12, 2000: 66-65 in Lincoln too.

I don't remember the 2000 game though...

GN is probably 2 for 20 from 3 pts in the last few games, and he has had a lot good looks, he just can not seem to make them. Teams can stop him in the paint if they do not have to guard him from outside.

Well we didn't have to win the conference tonight. Just had to beat Oklahoma State and we did that.

Get used to it. We will see this type of play by opponents the rest of the year. No 250 RPI teams left. Fred and the coaches need to figure out how they can generate offense inside out instead of the other way around. That's what Kane and Ejim did for ISU last year, and its what this team is missing.

Niang has to hit at least 1-2 threes a game in order for our offense to function. Our offense runs thru him at the high post and if he ain't hitting then they sag and eliminate hogue and Mckay inside. He doesn't have to hit 5, he just needs to hit a few to keep them honest which also opens up his driving and dishing. This is what the problem with our offense has been primarily. And, I can call it every time we are being pushed or down that BDJ will bring ball up court and try his cross over and either fall down or lose it, every single game.

I was at the game. ISU had the ball missed a shot or something and it went out of bounds with no time on the clock. NE fans started celebrating on the court. Then the refs ruled there was less than a second left on the clock. Someone threw in the ball and Rancik tipped it in. The crowd was silent after that.
The 00-01 team won at Neb on a last second bucket by Rancik I think.

DeJean-Jones with 9 rebounds and an assist; no, he didn't score much but hit the boards hard.

Hogue scored all 17 in the second half; to go with 8 boards. And, that monster block to save the day!!'

First off the refs sucked, second hogue and Thomas played their ***** off, probably the reason we won. I'm a little concerned about this team, but hopefully they prove me wrong.

BDJ was also good on the defensive end
