I'd still think that had we not lost to Tech.
"If it wasn't for what will possibly be Texas Tech's only Big 12 win of the year..."
I'd still think that had we not lost to Tech.
We've seen the "we can't finish ahead of you so you must be cheating" take. Now it appears it's moved on to "well yeah, you'll finish ahead of us again, but you couldn't beat those OTHER teams." You guys are the best.
The funniest part of it is when you saw KU get whipped by UK and Temple, you thought ISU had a chance in the Big 12 this year.
So what trump cards are involved in Kansas fans booing just as much ISU fans? And is ISU your top rival or threat?
They might win another game. On the other hand...."If it wasn't for what will possibly be Texas Tech's only Big 12 win of the year..."
Do they hang banners for who boos less or more? No? Then boo all you want, I don't care. And who knows if ISU is actually the biggest threat in the Big 12 these days. Most thought they were at the beginning of the year but people also thought Texas was good at the beginning of the year and now they look NIT bound. Ask me that question in five years and I'll have a better answer for you. Right now KU really doesn't seem to have a rival.

*Cough, cough* TCU 2013...

The sting of that loss is dulled significantly by the fact the KU still won the Big 12. Will ISU be able to say the same about their embarrassing loss to Tech?
I don't know. All I know is there is one line from that article that stand out:
According to Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com, there has not been a wider differential in RPI rankings between an upset winner and its victim than TCU (No. 236) and KU (No. 7) in the two decades he has been tracking the ratings.
Ouch!
You're the one trying to say our loss to Tech was bad. There has never been a loss as bad as your loss to TCU, so there's that. It's interesting that a loss to a team other than ISU means so much to you. Congrats!

All fans boos, and that includes KU fans. But KU fans don't boo nearly as much as ISU fans. From Monday's game, I could cite 3 calls in the first 10 minutes of the game that went against KU in which we didn't boo. When we play at Aimes, almost every call that does go ISU's way results in boos; not matter how obvious. So maybe we boo about 70% of the calls that go against us, but ISU boos 99% of the calls that go against them. Also, there is a large discrepancy in the volume of the boos. The average call against KU results in a scattering of boos. The average call against ISU sends my sub-woofer into overdrive.

The thread has now evolved into a booing thread, just as expected. This is special.
That's what it started as...

So we've come back to talking about the Booniversity of Kansas? Why does our amount of booing bother them so much? That's what it started as...
That TCU loss was so historic, I would be okay with TCU hanging a banner in their building to commemorate it.Banner in Hilton?
