Arizona and Notre Dame both had bigger cushions in the poll last week, while the teams below ISU were pretty close points-wise. It would have taken quite a few more vote and ranking changes for them to drop 3 spots like ISU did.
I also wonder if being the only game on at the time hurt ISU more because more CBB people see the loss. That Duke-UND game was effectively over before people on the West Coast had their morning coffee.
Serious question because I haven't paid any attention to them this year. Who, other than WSU (most overrated team in CBB) did the pantherhoks beat?
Moral of the story is to play the weakest non-conference schedule because it doesn't matter in the eyes of the AP voters.
This is why people shouldn't have faith in AP voters. Here are two great reasons. Yep UNI is better than Arizona...right.
