I'm actually somewhat excited for baseball this season. Maybe it has something to do with summer time too, but watching a game of baseball seems pretty appealing right now.
I'm impressed at how much our players our WANTING to improve. Sounds like a lot of our players have been at the facility weeks before they had to report.
I'm especially surprised with Castro. Had a great year last year and I could easily see him saying that's good enough and just hanging back. But it sounds like he's been putting in some serious work to get better.
I think Castro is starting to realize that his position is not guaranteed.

His position definitely isn't guaranteed but I doubt he's too concerned coming off an all star season.
Ah so the ones labeled "WGN" are the ones that a local provider would have to pick up?WGN America is the national broadcast. That's not happening anymore.
Any chance Cubs go after Cole Hamels? Sounds like they want a top prospect.
probably not before next offseason and it's likely he'll be traded to someone else before then. I think they're content with the roster they have for now. Now it's time to figure out which middle infielders to keep and which to trade.
That means considerably less than it once did, now that every team is guaranteed at least one all-star. He's already made it three times.
We may need the official Cubs regular season thread now but I'll post this here:

WOI won't touch the Cubs. KCWI might. They never have anything interesting on TV. Only potential problem is they have a contract with the Cardinals, so I'm sure there would be plenty of conflicts
Sounds like WOI and KCWI will air 32 games...

HEY MY REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY WORKED!
I wonder who on WOI reads this.
