Apparently the dog walk areas at rest stops means you don't have to pick up after your dog.

I drink waay too much pop. So, last night I saw an article about the comeback of the "shrub" or a fruity/sweet/acidic syrup used to make a summery drink (essentially, fruit, sugar, and some sort of vinegar). Macerating cherries, strawberries, and rhubarb now (separately) to use as a mixer for carbonated water, I'll report back if it turns out well.

I have a dentist appt today and get a silver filling replaced. I haven't had a cavity since I was a kid, but I'm still paying for the amount of sweets I had when I was younger. Never had braces though.

I had a weird "memory jog" moment the other day. I caught this odd combination of smells that made me immediately think of the dentist office from when I was a kid. I had not encountered that smell since my youth, but I've never forgotten it. <shudder>

00, I'm with ya on the pop thing. I thought I had kicked the habit last year when I stopped for 6 months. Then the holidays came around and I completely lost my will power.

I'm back to trying to give it up (credit goes to Rulzzz for giving it up for lent...I followed suit).

Pop Tarts and Coke for breakfast.

For many years for me, it was a Coke & a smoke. No more Coca-Cola since 2005 (they sent my son to Iraq & I got an ulcer, so I had to give it up). No more smokes since 2007, ever since PapaLew & I finally managed to quit at the same time without killing each other. :)

Now I'm old & fat, but my stomach & lungs are healthier! ;)

wtf phone. Asking DH if we can confirm something about cabinets and my text was supposed to read "bevel or no bevel?"

My phone changed it to "Negro or no Negro?" And when I went to fix it, it popped up "Negro" as the autocorrect. What?

and I'm done with these canned peaches. Most of them are perfectly delicious. But then I'll take a bite of one that tastes like can. And then that's all I can taste the rest of the day.

About a year or so ago hubby went to a conference and one of the speakers was the founder of the Honest Tea company. They don't use HFCS in their products. After that talk, he decreased his pop intake. He usually takes a tea to have with his lunch (used to be a Mt Dew). He still drinks pop, but not as much anymore. I stopped a few years ago, maybe have pop less than a dozen times a year. Coffee is my drug of choice.

What did DH decide?

and I am pretty sure I have never sent a text with that words so IDK why my phone was like YES, THIS IS THE WORD SHE IS LOOKING FOR!

It likes to troll. I caught just in time that it had changed my "I bet niece is so excited to be a big sister" to "**** sister"

Guys. They're filming a scene for Hawaii 5-0 ON my street. Like, you might see my car with Iowa State plate covers in an episode.

And talking to my apartment neighbor, apparently location scouts came in to his place wanting to use it for a scene, but my stupid *** landlord nixed it because she wanted too much money.

I'm a fourth year medical student and today is my last day on this Emergency Medicine rotation. All I can say is how thankful I am that I'll never before forced to remove an actively vibrating, neon flashing ***** from a man's rectum again. :GEEK:
