easier path is Texas, OU, then whoever comes from the other side.
why?
option a: Texas, OU, whoever.
Texas will be coming off of a game the prior day against Tech. Now most people think Tech will get killed. Tech has been playing pretty good lately and I think that game will be close. If Texas wins, it will be a home game for Iowa State. It'll be tough to beat a team 3 times in a row but Texas, playing the following game will be a little tired for this one.
ISU wins, plays OU/OSU winner. Oklahoma State has a pretty thin bench (I think thinner than ISU) and would be tired. Oklahoma has been known to choke in the postseason under Kruger and wouldn't surprise me to see OSU get revenge on them. Iowa State will basically have another home game as well.
option B: West Virginia and Kansas
West Virginia, yikes, would like ISU to avoid them. No idea if Staten comes back. Playing a team that presses in the tournament is a tough proposition for a team like Iowa State who goes 8 deep. It's tough to beat a team 3 times. Then play basically a road game against Kansas. Iowa State beat them last year but it's hard to beat them in Kansas City and I bet Fred knows that. Kansas will be coming for blood and Ellis is suppose to be back for that game.
If Kansas St. upsets Kansas, it would still be a tough game.
Option A 7 days a week.
