did he do this last year at this time? Would be interesting to see how close he was a year ago when the seeds come out on Sunday.

If we get a 1 seed, I'm putting $100 on the 16 seed.

If we win, it's money well spent. If we lose, which let's face it - any longtime Cyclone is going to be nervous as **** about this - it's a nice boost.

Without any unexpected losses to the team like a surprise early leaver I wouldn't be nervous about this situation. I'm done with all of that.

That's awesome! Can we get a summary of what he said?

He basically noted that we were losing Hogue and BDJ, but returned Niang, "one of the top PGs in the nation" Morris, and athletic big McKay. Also bringing back shooters Long and Nader, while gaining transfers from Cooke and Burton.

Unfortunately, he also mentions this projection is largely dependent on if Hoiberg sticks around or takes an NBA gig.

Fred is leaving?! We are doomed! Haha, this talk will never end since nobody actually thinks this is the job that Hoiberg wants.

I was just talking to a MN family member who doesn't really follow ISU, but likes to ask me about them when we talk. She asked how things were looking for next year and I said after last summer's hype train and with all the guys that should be coming back, I fully expected expectations to reach insane levels following the tournament. Glad to see we're getting started early.

If we make the sweet 16, I think we'll start out top 10-12 next year. If we land Diallo, top 5-8.

This year and next is our shot to hang a final 4 banner

I woudn't limit it to just the next two, Fred has already reloaded and improved the team each year, no reason to think it won't continue. As long as Hoiberg is the Coach of the Cyclones the program could be in many late March run conversations.
