Re: REPORT: Alvin Gentry, not Fred Hoiberg, favorite to replace Tom Thibodeau

Others PMing me said I could be wrong on the players knowing the they believe the staff and JP know.
Funny how that's changed from your original post of "I've had multiple people message me that they're hearing what I'm hearing"

Also, how does seeing Williams tweet first show anything?
I like how much your'e taking on here to defend your position... True trolls die hard. I should be done on this topic... better not feed the troll.

I also like yout "multiple people pm me!!" comment without any back up... it's the forum version of "some people say!"

DandyCyclone isn't a troll.

I don't believe his story.

I do think Fred will be coaching the Bulls next year.

But he isn't a troll.

Than why the hell is he running around telling his team? Also... Why would he tell his team if he wasn't 100% out the door coaching the Bulls?

So many things could already be in place and the media hasn't been allowed to make it official yet.

Some of you are in denial that is even a real option.

I may end up being wrong which I am completely fine with but the fact that some of you think the Hoiberg leaving ISU isn't even a possibility are crazy.

If I say something on here and I'm wrong then big whoop. If a guy like CW or Hines tweets or writes something and he's wrong they could potentially lose their job.

I know he's not usually a troll, but this is.

Why didn't they leak the info about TJ when they knew before ISU announced it then?

You mean, like this:

"Who’s next? It’s too early to tell but I fully expect that Hoiberg already has a good idea as to who he wants to bring on board. I expect it to be someone who Fred has a prior relationship to. The name T.J. Otzelberger has been floating around quite a bit. That would make sense as the former Greg McDermott/Hoiberg assistant bolted for Washington a few years ago and the Huskies haven’t exactly set the world on fire. However, Otzelberger has an interview to become the next head man at Green Bay this weekend. He’s also in the mix to become the head coach at Northern Kentucky."

When CW writes like this, I listen. In the current situation, he knows that Hoiberg is thinking more seriously about the NBA than before, so he reports accordingly. He and Jeremy wouldn't give percentages that included a good chance that Hoiberg stays if they knew it was a done deal for him to go. They would just say something like "Cyclones fans, get ready because it may really happen."

yes - because if there's one thing we can count on in America.... it's for the media to bite its tongue until something is "official"

I won't release your name, but would love to know how many others are hearing these rumors.

I'm not going to tell you who PMs me. That would be a terrible move.

He knew for a fact TJ was coming here before it was announced and he didn't leak it. I bet if you asked CW his percentage right now it'd be different then it was last time he said it too.

What does Chip Brown from orangebloods.com say? I'll believe him.

The only thing I'm confused about is if Dandy is a he or a she. This is critical to this discussion.

I heard a rumor that Fred does NOT put his pants on one leg at a time. A quality the Bulls front office is very high on. TIFWIW

Two things can be true:

1. The main point of Dandy's story is true.

2. Some of the details (like the players knowing and the interim coach) could not be true.

I think at this point we all think there's a good chance Hoiberg is gone. But we can think that and not believe that the players have been told or that Pollard is stupid enough to hire TJ as an interim coach.

3. The whole thing is junk.
