Re: REPORT: Alvin Gentry, not Fred Hoiberg, favorite to replace Tom Thibodeau

Multiple posters have came into this thread and said they've heard what I've heard. Kill me all you want but it's not like I'm making it all up.

Multiple posters? Some people say? You kill me. Also, there really haven't been multiple posters... And what will I do if you're wrong? Celebrate.

Right it's "A dream", not "The Dream".

Re: REPORT: Alvin Gentry, not Fred Hoiberg, favorite to replace Tom Thibodeau

I think it means he loves coaching in the NBA more than he loves Iowa State. It isn't that he would hate Iowa State. But coaching in the NBA would be more important to him than coaching at Iowa State.

I'm not sure why this is so damn hard for people to understand. I find it so funny that so many want to believe that he would take an NBA job as a favor to Iowa State.

If I took a new job it would be because that job was more important to me and my family than the other job. It wouldn't mean I hated my other job. But it would mean that I liked the other job better.
.

You've said more than once that if Fred goes to the NBA that he cares more about the NBA than his family. Quit moving the target.

What are you going to do if I end up being right?

Then you're right because you trolled correctly? Pretty much everything you've posted on this except for the Fred to Bulls part has been shown to be wrong.

I think there is a slight difference. I keep posting what i think. I don't argue with people who disagree with me.

You would think that it isn't the exact definition of irony, wouldn't you? Posting something over and over and over and over but then telling somebody else to "let it go" is straight from Websters.

NO I haven't. Even tuco corrected you. If I mistyped something, then I apologize.

I've said that if he takes the job that coaching in he NBA that job is more important to him and his family than coaching at Iowa State.

I am not and have not equated coaching at Iowa State to his family.

Right about what? He didn't tell the players and we won't have a 1 year interim coach. And you now say it is possible he could change his mind when originally you said it was a done deal. You have nothing left to be right about because right now you can't be wrong (Except for the things you were already wrong about).

Just because Fred is their top target doesn't mean he will be their hire.

Who claimed to hear it from someone in the know. My guess is their is a rumor about which is what Fred was responding too and you heard it just like they did and you made up a source in the know. That's the part I am calling BS on. If not tell us something they told you that gives them credibility to you. Why do you believe this person. The only reason so far is "why would they lie".

Right. I think we all could agree on the following facts:

1. Fred is Chicago's top and really only target.

2. People in Ames/close to Hoiberg know he is strongly considering it.

3. People in Chicago/close to the Bulls don't think that it is a forgone conclusion that he will take the job.

I also just heard something very similar to what Dandy did from a fairly well connected guy at work.

He's probably gone if the Bulls can trade Thibs...

Flame away......

So Fred puts together a detailed plan for Pollard and gushes about this being his dream job, only to leave after five seasons?

Love bites.

I'm not saying he's right, but nothing he said has been proven to be wrong yet.

Re: REPORT: Alvin Gentry, not Fred Hoiberg, favorite to replace Tom Thibodeau

If you quick search Hoiberg on Twitter, there's a lot of comments with "uncertainty" or "unsure" regarding Hoiberg wanting to make the jump in them. Not that it says anything, but it's nice that the media at least doesn't think that it's a done deal.
