Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

JSB was the other one who pretty much agreed with me back in that Lorenzo thread on all the pieces put together showing Fred on his way out....and he/she was also blasted......wish every yard was around to chime in on that thread too

Re: REPORT: Alvin Gentry, not Fred Hoiberg, favorite to replace Tom Thibodeau

Has he had a press conference where he could have shot down these rumors? Didn't think so. Just let the guy recover.

Dont need a press conference just a tweet. NBA talk is one thing. This is WAY beyond that and has torpedoed our recruiting now so at this point it's hurting the program. No way the Mayor would do that if he wasn't jumping ship. No way. As much as I love Hoiberg, I love the program more. It's time to put this thing to bed and move on. Yes or No.

Re: REPORT: Alvin Gentry, not Fred Hoiberg, favorite to replace Tom Thibodeau

If #Bulls make coaching change, Fred Hoiberg WOULD accept the job if it were offered, a source who spoke to Hoiberg told me this morning.

So, for 4 hours, is he the only guy who has talked to the source? Nah. I will now disregard it.

Looks like he took a chance on the story and now he is going to lose a ton of credibility as no one confirmed it.

likely have all the players we're going to get for next year too.
When dust settles, still maybe another grad transfer to come in....but who knows, team will be great next year regardless and that will appeal to the right guy, even without Fred....but likely no one WILL commit until we announce who the coach will be ( and most expect it is TJ)

Interim coaches are named if you coach leaves during the season.... That isn't happening.

Also used when you are going to hire a guy you know people won't be behind right away but will smokescreen them with a good season due to returning players so that you can name him head coach as planned a year later with less criticism.

Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

Local sports anchor up here in Sioux City reported at 6 tonight that JP "may not be in Sioux City tomorrow with the tailgate tour due to dealing with the Fred Hoiberg situation". Ugh....

I did. I brought up the dinner and the fact that Paige is not fulfilling her "dream to go to ISU" and the Otz situation but no one liked it. Whatever. This thing has been going on a lot longer than people think and I am not sure it's not part of the reason we weren't ready for UAB.

Thats right. I remember the Paige call out....and you may be right...add in BDJ and his BS and that gm would have become lot more difficult than it ever should have been

Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

Well this could be depressing.
Not sure if it's better or worse that it likely drags out until mid June.
Fred won't tip his hat that he's leaving because that then screws the Bulls/his new team out of possibly dealing Thibs.

If this drags on long enough I wonder if TJ will get an interim title and a one year trial period.
