Re: Hoiberg to Accept Bulls Job, If Offered

…and meanwhile rival coaches are locked and loaded with plenty of ammo to use in recruiting against ISU as long as Hoiberg is coach and has a contract with an “NBA outâ€￾ clause.

Soooo….who’s laughing?

I think Fred has his recruiting bases covered.

If you were JP, how much would you offer Fred a year to stay in a revised contract? $3M or $4M or $5M or $6M.

Honestly what has he done to earn that much? I want to keep him here as much as anyone but let's not put ourselves in a Kirk Ferentz type situation.

I guess it is possible JP is skipping the tailgate tour because he knows his presence would be a major distraction with all the rumors swirling.

Sounds like you cannot face the reality of the situation. This is social media, Mr Putin.

Cool story with your Putin reference. Did someone pee in your Cheerios this morning? Smile, have a little fun every now and then.

Edited: Turns out Wesley prefers Cheerios to Wheaties.

I only see Morris playing one more year regardless of who the coach is.

There are a handful players in the entire NBA that are around Monte's size and one of them is Chris Paul. He's a four year player, a likely all-american, but he will be fortunate to stick with an NBA team let alone leave early in my opinion.

What I don't get is the Bulls job is not unique or once in a lifetime. Job will probably be available again in 5 years.

I think this is actually a plausible reason. Again none of the big Media outlets are reporting Bulls have made any decisions regarding their coaching position. Maybe it will still break today, but as of right now it would be a media circus if Pollard attended that thing.

Derek and Butler do not get along and the rest are getting older. Heinrich was from the last century. Bulls job could be open in three years.

Several players where at airports yesterday flying back to Ames. Pretty much answers the question. And if it is TJ. Then JP just punched his ticket out of ISU. Why would u hire TJ when u can retain him on staff? Makes zero sense. I would call Jared Haase....would be great hire and the guy can coach...his teams rebound and play defense hard and that's what wins championships.

Jerod Haase over TJ? I get not wanting TJ but Jerod Haase ayfkm? He got his team to rebound and play defense for 4 games at the end of the season. All of the stupid around here.

I don't say this often, but listen to the M&M podcast from yesterday part 1 with Dave Kaplan. This isn't breaking today.
