I'd check Twitter 1230ish tomorrow and see if hines or cw tweet something. If not, early next week.

Your point is mostly spot on. For whatever reason this place puts him on a pedastal, even though he hasn't achieved much of anything and no one wants to hire him as a HC.

I was estatic to hire him as an assistant, but you guys hyping him up way more than he deserves is mind blowing. He has no business being our HC at this point in time, and you don't just give him a raise because you feel bad for him.

If he's such a little ***** like you make him out to be and can't handle staying here because Fred left and because he didn't get the HC job, then let him go.

If he's fine with sticking out his contract like I'm sure he is, then keep him. If he warrants a raise/extension next year, then give it to him.

But not now.

@Rustshack,
Please don't make false claims about me. Over the past couple months of the HC search process, I have not posted one thing pro or con about Coach Otz or any of the other HC candidates for that matter. This is only my third post this entire year.

To infer that I put Coach Otz on a pedestal or that I inferred or stated that, "he's such a little ***** like I make him out to be", is a complete lie and fabrication. If you feel compelled to attack fellow Cyclone fans, kindly stick to facts or actual quotes. How old are you anyway?

For now, I suggest you go back to fantasyland, Iowa City, your sandbox, or whatever rock you crawled out from under, and seek treatment for your dementia. In the future, please try to maintain some level of integrity.

Thank you.

This is the thing that confuses me about all of this.......what coach at what school in the country wouldn't jump ship, if he's successful and a bigger job opens up? Maybe guys like Coach K, or Calipari, but that's only because they already have 2 of the biggest jobs and most success in college ball. Besides Fred, how many ISU MBB coaches have left for better jobs, with or without their success. Maybe Floyd at the time, but that's about it.

I just get tired of the "woe is me (us)" attitude of some ISU fans.

Coach k is making nearly 9 million a year. And he still almost went to the NBA.

So is Matt A still the one feeding Rothstein all this news?

Also, this is pretty ideal IMO for his staff.

Except I'm not sure about Robinson, but I doubt he Prohm was ever keeping both Mann and TJ.

Mann is out officially.
Hope he finds a good fit. Great to see TJ is staying.

@TravisHines21: Prohm has informed Cornell Mann that he will not be retained on staff, a source tells the Tribune. CBS reporting Daniyal Robinson is in.
