When Hines, et al hear stuff they wait until they have the green light to put it out, because they have to protect their sources and maintain their relationships for the long term.
Why? Rothstein tonight. Believe he also broke the Prohm hire. Someone explain this to me....
The difference is when Rothstein hears it, he puts it out immediately.

That's just my speculative opinion of course.
That would be true if the sources in question were named publicly, and not just "sources".

The real question is why does this bother you? If you have the information, would you rather release it to the Ames Tribune where only locals pick it up or CBS Sports where it can actually gain (some) national attention.
CW is calling this thread out (indirectly): https://twitter.com/ChrisMWilliams/status/612790802331344897
Although if they have been on it "for days", I haven't seen a thing from Hines, Peterson, La Gesse, etc. saying Otz would be retained before Rothstein tweeted it
They were definitely on Daniyal Robinson but I hadn't heard anyone say a thing about TJ.
Yeah I agree. Rothstein didn't break Robinson but I don't really get CW calling out Rothstein for breaking the news about Otz. Maybe the local guys like CW or Hines knew about Otz but Rothstein beat them to the punch with the report
I heard numerous times on the radio that they expected TJ to stay.
Does it really matter who is first to break the news? I kinda doubt the average person really gives a ****.
