Did you realize we have a new head coach? He is going to do things his way. Not the rholtgraves way. It really isn't hard to understand. And besides Monte, who has Mann recruited to ISU?Why do you think Robinson is better than Mann? All those great players he he getting at Loyola? Also, why did they need a specific bigs coach? From what I have seen McKay, Niang, Ejim, have all been done pretty well.
Doesn't a pipeline mean a constant flow? When was the last player we had from Michigan before Monte?I like all the emphasis on Chicago, but the absence of mentions of Detroit concerns me. We already have a pipeline there.
SDW, Percy, wah wah wah.Doesn't a pipeline mean a constant flow? When was the last player we had from Michigan before Monte?

Since 2002 (as far back as rivals goes), 4 players from Michigan: Dominique Buckley, Percy, SDW and Monte. Not exactly pipeline material considering Monte is the only one who has amounted to anything.Percy was from Detroit.

I know. I was just following up for my own knowledge. Michigan isn't exactly the easiest state to recruit elite talent out of.I'm not saying you're wrong, only answering your question.
@AlexHalsted: Prohm on his staff: "I think we're well-rounded to our recruiting base... To the south, to the Midwest to the JUCO players."

I think that Prohm is going to quickly find out that recruiting the South at ISU is a much different ballgame than recruiting at a southern school. Programs that have less success and fan support than ISU can beat us for recruits because kids don't want to leave the south. I'd be surprised if the south ends up being a prime recruiting area for us.
I'm not saying Mann should have been retained, I'm saying Robinson is worse. It makes sense to replace Mann for the simple fact there isn't a ton of talent from Michigan these days and they usually go to MSU or Michigan.
He already has ties and connections down there so it should be easier for him to recruit. I'm not sure what the difference between a southern player coming to ISU and a northeastern player coming to ISU is.I think that Prohm is going to quickly find out that recruiting the South at ISU is a much different ballgame than recruiting at a southern school. Getting recruits from the South in bball is not as difficult in basketball.
