Just tried Target and they didn't really have ****. I'll probably go NFM. It seems that is where I get most of my stuff.

I'm just looking for something nice but not overly expensive. Something like this potentially?

I like that. We're probably looking for a little bigger and lower seats.........something about kids and falling or some thing like that.

That drive from CR to Madison is as beautiful as the Midwest can be. Love it.

if you go home during the daylight, there's this beautiful hill you go down after Platteville with a beef farm wagon sign on the side of the hill and just beautiful hills around it. My favorite part.

speaking of pretty drives, we drive to NE IA tomorrow, and Prairie du Chien is just a gorgeous area. I don't care how hot it is on Sunday, we're going hiking, dammit!

Have you been to the Potosi Brewery?

*edit: Just got thinking...my childhood version of der hund (only a large beagle, no foxhound) came from in between DBQ and Kieler.

I noticed that last year, he was all over during the summer, then banned right before football season, popped back up this summer (although I think he was activated, just didn't post much). Makes me wonder if there's a relaxing during the summer when times are slow and the casual fanatics (who want hardcore news only and get pizzed when a thread is derailed, or there are junk threads) are gone and only the fanatical fanatics (who understand how message boarding works, and can roll with it) are around.

I figured he had to be back when there were 2 NDSU threads on the front page.

And I'm not sure if this'll be more chubber inducing for wx or chaser:

I know a guy from ISU that worked on the project. Poor guy spent the summer in Hays, Kansas. Very interesting project.

I know exactly where you are talking about and I completely agree.

Eh..well, I guess reading it again, I thought you were going to Platteville....Potosi isn't too far from that, but is a bit out of the way for Platteville...although, if you're in no hurry, more of the driftless region views!

no, I was mentioning that to wxman, we are taking 12 over to PDC so we won't be going thru Platteville

But...if you're in Prairie, jump across to old man river brewery in Macgregor...is a sister brewery to Backpocket Brewing in Coralville. Good beers.

Reminds me...I recommended it to one of my minions when I was a manager in another area, he was going camping up in that area. He came back on Monday with his foot in a boot, I asked what happened. He said it was from that beer I recommended, then proceeded to tell me he got drunk and fell/stepped in the fire. I asked how much he had...2 growlers, so a gallon of beer or about 10 beers...but it was high test stuff. I told him that I recommended the beer, I didn't recommend that he drink so much of it he couldn't control his own damn self.

You were in their friggin' driveway and you didn't stop! Very disappointed in you, rummy.

well, it was beer, not rum and we had things to do. Like buy a car! I think that was right after my wisdom teeth and it was like 100 heat (2012 was the drought, wasn't it?) so I wasn't feeling too hot

I think we might be in Macgregor if we go to the Pikes Peak place

Welllllll....OK...I guess...BUT DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN.

should I mention or not mention that we drive by it every time we go home?

it's like one of those things we plan on stopping at at some point because it's so close but just haven't
