It makes very little sense to go from top 3 which was reported on Scout by Corey Evans a couple of weeks back, to not making the final 8.

That's hard to explain.

Cant quit watching xavier Simpson videos and thinking how exciting it would be to see this guy in a cyclone uniform. Smooth stroke, flashy game

Um, I think the prior posts were implying ISU backing/cooling off because of a possible better player....not Waters.

Either way, hard to see us doing that with so many open ships.

I wasn't arguing i think i worded it wrong. I agree and hope its a top guy we are high on. Just stating that if you back off from a school because you are scared of some competition shows you have lack of confidence in your game

Exactly. Even more with the list of schools that did make the final 8. I just don't get it.

I still dont think he'd back off though unless it was a 5☆ recruit. If so thats good news and also would mean hes not very confident in himself

Or maybe, he didn't like us as much as we thought. Now doesn't seem like a very logical to start recruiting a 5 star SG so I wouldn't hold your breath.

My guess is we will be seeing Lindy Waters a couple times a year for the next few years.

Actually, I think it's not.
Probably happens more than anyone ever knows.
If you make up your mind that he's maybe not what you're looking for and/or not a good fit, you want him around just because?

People are saying ISU possibly backed off because of another target, not that Waters backed off because ISU has other targets. I'm sure Waters has plenty of confidence in his game.

@GTuckerHoops: Two schools are working the hardest for 2016 guard Skylar Mays: http://t.co/qYxIp6J0dF http://t.co/kmaTErGLbP

“I have offers from Baylor, LSU, UNLV, Tulsa, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, and Wake Forest,â€￾ Mays told HoopSeen.com. “Wisconsin, Wichita State, Cal, and Stanford are showing interest.â€￾
“Baylor and UNLV are making me a priority.â€￾

Mays plays for Finlay Prep, UNLV looks to be in good position.

Count me in for Horne. Looks pretty polished and quicker and more versatile than I expected. Fadeaway, spin, ballhandling, floaters. Given his most recent camp performance, he would be a welcome addition. Add Simpson and either of the Cooks to the mix, and Prohm will be off to a good start.
