Even though I consider myself a christian I don't really like discussing it with others even other christians.

I don't think we will have problems, but I think it is reasonable to be concerned about it.

I can get on board with that.

I don't know how anyone could possibly not like what Prohm has done thus far? What has he done wrong?

First of all, he didn't lose a single player in this whole ordeal. That right there is a minor miracle. It seems like all the guys like him, and that right there says a LOT.

Next, he put together a great staff.... possibly even better than what Hoiberg had IMO. And was able to keep TJ on board too, which was great for continuity IMO.

And now he's already added one HUGE piece to THIS year's class at a position of need with landing Carter. And he's already in great shape with Monte's future replacement in Xavier Simpson. Also has a lot of great offers out and we are high on several guys' lists.

I have no idea what anyone else could have possibly expected out of the guy?

Now, with all that being said, let's all hope this religion thing just remains a non issue like it should. As long as Prohm doesn't take it too far, it shouldn't be a big deal. I'm assuming he's smart enough to know where to draw that line? This isn't the "south" anymore here in Ames. Being religious is just fine, just keep it mostly to yourself and personal and nothing should come of it. It doesn't belong in the workplace. If you wanted to be a preacher, you should have chosen a different career path.

I don't think it will be an issue at all though.

I am uncomfortable with all the boring people who are uncomfortable talking religion or politics. Is everybody supposed to be a smug, indignant Today show host? Good Grief. Life would be boring without the Chiziks and Knights and other freaks. Different is Good! Tolerance before Victory. Diversity makes us stronger...just ask a Herzegovinian.
Prohm King is rocking us a stairway to Heaven....So get your Seuss on even if he gives a valedictorian speech and dare speak of a Creator.

I think at 12:10 am tonight I'm going to make a poll asking how everyone's day is going so far.

It's funny that people are making a big deal about it when a very high amount of good basketball players are religious. And of course they are being extremists and making it out to be a much bigger deal than it is. Just because you believe in and thank God doesn't mean you lecture everyone with bible versus and shun the non believers. Is he not allowed to talk about his children if the players don't have kids of their own?

It appears some of those commenting about the coach’s faith, would have also had an issue with one of the greatest NCAA basketball coaches in history! John Wooden, the six time “NCAA College Basketball Coach of the Year” was as well known for his principled faith-based coaching style as he was for his unprecedented winning record, leadership and ability!

Interestingly, the 2015 NBA’s MVP and Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is a devout Christian as is Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade, Dwight Howard, Nate Robinson, Alonzo Mourning, Jeremy Lin, A.C. Green and David Robinson just to name a few players who have the earned the respect of their fellow teammates both for their hard-charging style of play and faith in God.

You can't be serious with that list of players.

Not trying to argue with you but that is a terrible analogy.
