This is a tough site to sell tickets on. It is a top-notch site, but selling tickets is extremely difficult. You have quite a few posters that want tickets for free or at a massive discount. The value of the basketball program does not justify having to do that. If you price basketball tickets for what he OP called FMV, you have many posters calling you out. I also have tickets in the lower level and like the poster above, I tend to take them to Craigslist and end up with numerous people willing to pay my asking price.

Amen. It is why myself and many others are going to other platforms such as StubHub and Craigslist. Even with the fees associated with StubHub you still clear much more of a profit.

I bought some from him last year. Think it was sect 210 or something. They were great seats.

Thanks for confirming. :)

So I am reading from a few folks that FMV for the entire season is around $900-1000 per seat (I have 2) for balcony tickets near mid-court, correct?

I think you may be able to get more, but that wouldn't be bad. It depends on how things fluctuate, but I think you should be able to get more because they are at mid-court, as Erik is stating. I bet you could push it and get $1300-1400, but probably 1000-1200 is doable. I really would have to look at the schedule because a lot of it is determined on what games are on Saturdays. KU on a Saturday is huge cash, but on Monday, I'm not sure it would be as high, even if it is "Big Monday."

I stepped back a bit on my initial post on price, I believe, but I think Erik is probably right that $900 is low. I would try to get at least $1k.

To also put this in perspective, corner KU tickets last year were sold on Stub Hub for $200 per (and maybe more), although that was a Saturday and Gameday.

Edit: Looking through the schedule I would shoot for getting $1200, and make sure you get $1000 per ticket.

$900-1000 allows you to avoid the hassle of game by game sales on StubHub. You might net more game by game, but there is no guarantee. And, heaven forbid, we have a key player suffer a season ending injury, selling them all up front eliminates the chances of the values dramatically decreasing.

Yeah, you're saving a bunch of time and worry (which equals money) by unloading them all at once instead of having to do stubhub for each game, so those individual stubhub prices are a bit inflated. I would say $1,000 as a minimum is about right, if I were you I would hope for $1,000-$1,200, but anticipate towards the lower part of that.

That's outrageous. $900 is on the high end. I think some of you see posted prices on Craiglist and stubhub assume all of those tickets are selling. I sell a lot of tickets and those prices don't seem realistic.

The $1300+ might be high, but those are really good seats and even corner seats have been selling for a lot the past 2 years. I still think $1k at least. The prices have been insane.

Thanks all. No way do I plan to sell individually. Will sell full season - don't have time for the each game hassle. Keeping season tickets each year (FB and MBB) even tho we are in CO as I never know what the future holds.

In that case, do you have any tickets I can buy!

How can you make money at even $1,000? Don't most people who have season passes have to contribute more than that just to be eligible to purchase tickets?

Upper corners here. Sold a few pair that I couldn't attend for single game price (35 dollar conference). It allowed me to make a little money, and let someone into Hilton for what it would have cost to by singles from the AD. Only tickets I priced really high were Kansas, those did not sell rearranged work schedule so I could attend any way. I priced them high enough I was willing to miss the game if sold.

Edit: I may have sold some for make me an offer price, but it was minimum of singles price. Best game I didn't sell was Oklahoma took my niece made her a Cyclone fan for life. She said she didn't know that it could be so loud you can't hear yourself scream.:) Glad she got to see Hilton Magic in full force.

I will have 2 to sell this year plus parking passes. Balcony around mid court, row 7. Do not know what the fair market value will be taking into account the sell out and donation.

Looking for feedback on FMV.

Thx.
I would suggest giving the tickets to me. Then at the end of the season, I pay you what they were worth.

Generally, yes, that is true. For myself, I prefer to avoid the more commercial sites for games we can't attend. Last year I would post on here but usually they sold very quickly on the Cyclone Ticket Exchange. I realize that I cannot control buyers there, but it's so much easier to post the ticket and the price and let things happen. And yes, we don't actually get the money. It goes directly toward the next season ticket purchase of ISU athletics minus a percentage, but that works for me. I don't know if you can sell season tickets there. I've only seen specific game date options.

BTW, we are multiple year "somewhat center court, center of row 10" MBB season ticket holders who are captain level donors. I would gladly entertain revisiting that recent no-reseating decision sometime.

Upper Level Center will be worth between $1150-1400 per ticket depending on the row. Corner sections between $750-$1000 depending on the row. Most conference games will fetch you $75 if you sell ahead of time and the KU, Iowa and senior night game will go for $200 plus.

I sold TT, TCU, and WVU last year for $130/apiece net to me on Stubhub.

$900 is far from ridiculous especially when you have Iowa too.

IA and KS are worth $200/apiece for pairs - easy.
