I had 2 PMs on my tickets from CF members, wrote them back finally last night with a price. Will be listing here in a day or two if they do not buy the tickets.

I sold TT, TCU, and WVU last year for $130/apiece net to me on Stubhub.

$900 is far from ridiculous especially when you have Iowa too.

IA and KS are worth $200/apiece for pairs - easy.

and where are your seats?

I think you may be able to get more, but that wouldn't be bad. It depends on how things fluctuate, but I think you should be able to get more because they are at mid-court, as Erik is stating. I bet you could push it and get $1300-1400, but probably 1000-1200 is doable. I really would have to look at the schedule because a lot of it is determined on what games are on Saturdays. KU on a Saturday is huge cash, but on Monday, I'm not sure it would be as high, even if it is "Big Monday."

I stepped back a bit on my initial post on price, I believe, but I think Erik is probably right that $900 is low. I would try to get at least $1k.

But if you have to make a big donation, how are you making any money? If people wouldn't gobble up all the tickets that they don't want or need it would allow people who really want to see the games a chance to buy tickets as soon as they are available.

Being anxious to see the Cyclones play last year we ordered whatever tickets were available on the first day available to us. What seemed strange to me is the price of the Southern tickets were more than for Oklahoma State and were about in the same general balcony seating area.

Break games are always heavily discounted.

So tell me how much 2 tickets are worth courtside, feet on floor, against Kansas?

You may get $350/each for those since the buyer would probably be someone going just because it's Kansas and they want to be able to say "I have 2 tickets courtside with my feet on the floor." Meaning they'll be willing to shell out some $$.

You should be able to get around $400 each. If you're willing to sell to Iowa fans you might be able to get the same price for that game as well.

Generally, yes, that is true. For myself, I prefer to avoid the more commercial sites for games we can't attend. Last year I would post on here but usually they sold very quickly on the Cyclone Ticket Exchange. I realize that I cannot control buyers there, but it's so much easier to post the ticket and the price and let things happen. And yes, we don't actually get the money. It goes directly toward the next season ticket purchase of ISU athletics minus a percentage, but that works for me. I don't know if you can sell season tickets there. I've only seen specific game date options.

BTW, we are multiple year "somewhat center court, center of row 10" MBB season ticket holders who are captain level donors. I would gladly entertain revisiting that recent no-reseating decision sometime.

I haven't used the ISU Ticket Exchange before. How does that work? You get to list tickets at whatever price you want? If they sell, that money just gets credited to your account for future tickets (FB, BB, etc.)?

Last year two courtside tickets sold on Stubhub for $1200 per ticket. The reality is most good parquet seats for the Kansas and Iowa games will go for between $300-$500 per ticket. Of course this is dependent on the performance of both schools but I have a hard time believing that Iowa State and Kansas won't both be in the Top 10 come late January.

Upper level seats (middle four sections) were sold for between $200-$230 for the Kansas game last year.

There are some major games this year for Iowa State and season ticketholders:

Iowa
Oklahoma (Big Monday)
Kansas (Big Monday)
Texas (February 13th and Saturday ESPN game)
Oklahoma State (Senior Night)

All five of those games will cost you over $125 just to get in the door in my opinion.

maybe Kansas and Iowa doubtful for the others on that $125 minimum.

The Kansas game last year and the Iowa game two years ago are the only games ive seen where you couldn't or very hard to get in for under $125. With Kansas on Monday and Iowa on Thursday I don't see either selling as well as either of those games

Senior night with Georges (jersey will be retired), Naz Long, Abdel Nader and Jamaal McKay. And the potential that this will be Monte Morris' last game at Hilton. That will be one of the hottest tickets of the season.

Lower level near center court will go from $200-$350/seat for most conference games, even some non-conference.
Iowa and Kansas will go from $300-$500.
Feet on floor is probably $1,000-$1,200/ticket.

Is it on a Saturday? I'm curious how many of you that are giving out these estimated prices actually sell tickets?

Easily the biggest factor for pricing is whether it's a weekday or weekend game. The magic of senior night doesn't have near the effect as you might think and neither does a big Monday game.

Been a good discussion here. Will be listing my pair for $2500 tonight in the Tickets section on CF. Have some people that have expressed interest via PM that I wrote back this weekend as well.

It is currently, and likely will remain, towards the lower half of conference tickets price wise on StubHub. Unless ISU is playing for a conference title at that point, a mid week game against a lower level team will keep the value low.

I am more with rochclone on this one. I think as long as the team performs as expected, regardless of weeknight and who ISU plays, that will be a HOT ticket. You've got some of the favorite Cyclones in ISU history (in any sport, not just MBB) that will play their last game in Hilton.

****, getting a bit choked up just thinking about it - and not being there.
