Continually? Or mainly last year?I guess that's why we continually win more games before and after this one game than ISU does... You make zero sense. Even Pollard made a statement about UI and not being little brother during the opening of the SEZ. Does that happen in IC? Resound no. ISU is always thinking of Iowa and comparing themselves to Iowa.
For Kirk's sake, he better hopes he wins this weekend. If he loses another super bowl, Iowa fans will be livid and will demand that he be fired.
It's not an act, it's actually true now. It used to not be that way but the facts are there this is Iowa's game they care the most about. Posters up in the football facilities, moving trophies, playing ISU's fight song all week. They've never done that for Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or anyone else
Which brings up this question, is it better long term for us if Iowa were to win this week?
Think about it, if they win the fans will love him no matter what happens the rest of the season and he will keep his job. If we beat him he's probably fired at the end of the season regardless. I never want ISU to lose but if we do lose at least it means a few more years of Kirk Ferentz at Iowa
One of the Iowa players, forget which one, was quoted as saying that they play the opponents fight song before all road game. This is not unique to ISU.
This isn't necessarily a good thing. He is a proven winner when provided with the moons and stars aligned or however you want to describe it. It's not as if this guy can't win. Careful what you wish for. Also, his recruiting is getting a lot better and will probably continue to do so.
He hasn't been a proven winner against ISU and how is his recruiting getting better? They have like 20 2 and 3 star recruits for 2016 and his only really good recruit last year was Leshaun Daniels brother. I'd love nothing more than for Kirk Ferentz to coach in Iowa City for as long as I live
Ah, and you're measuring his success as a coach to be completely based off of his victories against us. Unfortunately, he's finished in the AP-Top 10 4 times in his tenure and has, contrary to what you think, been a proven winner in college football. There are 12 games on the schedule to win. He wins most of them, year in and year out. As for recruiting, his class for next year is ranked in the top-40 by every major site. Aren't you the guy who cares so deeply about recruiting sites? Lol, next.
