I'd be shocked if we scored under 20. They are built to stop B1G teams. They will struggle with our speed and spreading it around. You will see plays you didn't see against UNI.

I feel like you're the Cyclone Fanatic version of Hawk Nick.

With the game being in Ames, and knowing how jacked up that stadium can get, and given Kirk's inability to go with what works against ISU, I see ISU winning this one. Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 21 - 17.

Iowa will most likely stick King on Lazard to neutralize him some, but ISU has several other weapons. Iowa's lines looked good against the other ISU, but that's hardly enough to sell me on them.

I'm actually pretty optimistic, just based on our prep for UNI. It actually looked like we had effectively game planned for our first game. Which I haven't seen the last couple years.

We weren't effective on offense like I thought we would be against UNI. Will be a different story againt Iowa. I hope we dont game plan for a run heavy iowa offense. Beat hard WILL throw.

It did? We certainly had more talent than UNI, but we won largely because UNI out-mistaked us, coupled with their horrible punter.

I was actually impressed with our CB's against UNI. And our safeties played well too. Beathard will get picked. I am more worried about containment if he scrambles. And he will be scrambling.

Not possible. I have heard from the Naysayers for months leading up to the game against UNI, that UNI recruited better, was better coached, and that ISU sucked in all phases of the game and now you are telling me something else.

It was a good win. We still need to improve. Leave it at that

Think of the last few years and how lost we looked in every facet of the game during the opener. That's what I'm comparing this year to.

Think this is their helmet for game...? If so, is there any more motivation for them? I certainly don't want to hear that Iowa just doesn't care as much ever again.

It's motivation or an excuse, depends on the outcome.

Containment wasn't a big problem the second half. Could have been been better but those are issues that can be cleaned up because a lot of those big gains were almost sacks.

Iowa State doesn't take the lead until the end of the 3rd quarter where we win the game 31-27 on a TD pass by Richardson and Gus Johnson freaks out.

A co-worker of mine always said, "If Gus Johnson's calling the game, it'll come down to the wire." It does like it ... although I'm not sure if it's a coincidental high percentage of tight games when he does PBP, or if he just makes it sound more intense.
