This. THIS. THIS.

We're witnessing a regime's (figurehead leader) descent into madness.

Great play by Lazard. That "execution" normally can't be counted on for ISU (see Iowa game).

That said, Richardson played so loose and free against KU and WVU back in 2012 too. Now he is mechanical to the point of unassured hesitation.

I think there might be a lot of truth to this. He now (at least to me) hesitates to throw. Hesitates to run. Like whatever he does is going to be viewed as the wrong decision by Rhoads/Mangino brains-trust.

"wasn't his fault"

You should probably take up analyzing JV maybe even middle school football. Seems like it would be more your speed. Sam isn't perfect and makes some dumb plays but if you really can't see that there is a much bigger problem going on with our football team, you've got a bad case of tunnel vision my friend.

Naw man, replacing the QB will clearly fix all the root causes of our problems.

its called reality.

Lets alao not forget that we lured chiz here and he sucked *** and got out of Ames and won a national title. Coaches will remember that too

Smart coaches will see what a **** poor coach was able to do with players that Chiz recruited to Ames. Smart coaches will also see that they can still get a top coaching gig at a power house power 5 school if they coach at ISU (as Chiz did).

Lol so you want the Chiz back? He's probably available.

Did I say that?

Fact: Gene Chizik was the hottest assistant coach out there when ISU hired him, regardless of how he panned out.
Fact: In 2015, ISU is in a very much better position in attract a hot coaching hire than they were in 2006.

I'd love to hear what the CPR supporters have to say about this one.

Coach Rhoads sent Lanning out to the press conference and made this statement to disguise the fact that he intends to let Lanning throw all over the field against Baylor.

Joel "Hell yea coach did you see my first college td pass? An absolute missile to Lazard!"

CPR "sit down Joel, all the fans are going crazy and you just ruined your snap count we had planned for you. You were suppose to throw a pick and now look what you have done"

CPR after the game "don't worry Joel, I'll tell everyone Monday that it was a bad pass"

I have a feeling that CPR had a large wad of cash on the TCU game. He saw Lanning as a kind of player that might allow ISU to stay in the game and cover the spread. So he did the only logical thing and bench Lanning and allow Sam to go scoreless the next 3 quarters. CPR visits his bookie and collects the $$$

Duuurrrrr yeah I'm sure.

i am not saying if it is or isn't. But i am saying I think that's the perception. Why would a coach take the Iowa state job when they could take the Illinois job?

I doubt either one of those jobs are very highly sough after.
