What a terrible guy, getting us in the final 3 for a couple top 15 recruits. How dare he do that to us.

And what if Williams was only coming to ISU for MA? What does he tell him? "No, you can't come with, stay at ISU, where you'll know none of the coaches"?

tell me, what did MA do for ISU outside of draw a paycheck and poach a recruit on the way out the door?? I'll just say I'm not upset he's gone.

You sure about that? Seems to me he spent two years chasing two big fish, scoring neither. Then on his way out, steals a key member of ISU's recruiting class. That tells me something when Hoiberg doesn't bring him to Chicago in some capacity. The guys a punk.
My dad and I were lucky enough to talk to him at a few away games, and he was always really nice and spent some time talking to us. I don't think he's a punk or a bad guy. I was cheering for st. thomas because I generally cheer for the underdog, but I have no problem with Abdelmassih.

Not upset that he went back to his own school and didn't want to work for JP knowing Fred was leaving. I just wish he wouldn't have taken Williams with him. He seen first hand Fred turning around Iowa State, and he wanted to replicate that at his school.

Big name D1 school loses by 32 to a D2 school. With 300+ D1 teams that's really, really bad. That should be instant fire bad.
Do you seriously think they should instantly fire Mullin because of this game? No way.

I have no problems with Matt. I dont think Chris Mullin is fred Hoiberg though. They will probably get good recruits though because of name recognition with Mullin is huge and Matt is a pretty decent recruiter.

The Big East doesn't have the street cred it used to have, even though I really like this league. I still see Xavier, Georgetown, Villanova, and Butler has the top dogs and Providence could be a bubble team for a couple years, and Marquette is going to get a lot better. Wojo is bringing in some good classes up there, and with Bo retiring, kids may lean to Marquette now.
Going to be tough for St. Johns, not sure Mullin gets the job done.

I hope that Marquette, better known as the Iowa State D-League team, brings in better and better talent for us to poach.

I guess Jon Rothstein (who I usually like) was justifying the bad loss because St. Johns had a key player missing....um your reserves at a D1 school should beat a D2 school.

There should be a group of students that aren't even on the team that could do much better than this.

He justified it because Matt and him are best buddies. That's also why you like Jon, because he would always talk about Iowa State as a favor to Matt.

We are so much better off for having Matt not be a part of this program. He did much more harm then good.
