I'd rather cheer for Kansas then cheer for iowa
Still wouldn't root for Iowa. I would just gladly tip off the nuclear division of the Pentagon.Does ISIS have a football team and do they play Iowa?
Only if by them winning it directly benefits Iowa State 100%. Otherwise, never.
Actually I don't, I just hate the UofI. Growing up in eastern Iowa in a town of 90% tavern hawks who act like Iowa should be on the Mt. Rushmore of college football will make you hate them.
This is my thinking as well.If the hoks lose to Nebby, I will root for them all day long in the championship game. That would screw the Big10 out of a lot of money...
This is my thinking as well.
Of course I'm sure the playoff committee would come up with some sort of skewed logic to vote one of them in regardless.
I wouldn't cheer for them directly but I can give them credit when it's due. I don't live in a place where I'm going to be surrounded by/see comments from belligerent hawkeye fans so that helps.
When I was younger, I spent way too much time and energy arguing about/hating Iowa, and I realized that's a really stupid approach, and when I see ISU fans going out of their way to make it happen, it only fuels their fans and the 'super bowl/only care about one game' narrative.
